Report-1 :

As soon as we reached there few people recognized us and began to line up in a orderly fashion we prayed and started to give breakfast. As we began to request if we could pray for them.many agreed and overwhelming request was for them to find a proper place to stay. Few requested to pray for their health. We were able to share good news of gospel to few people. A very young man, Aaron, who recently became homeless his story ”lost his mother recently,his girlfriend is pregnant and he is homeless and seeking for comfort and purpose” Many of them were thankful that we came there to spend time with them. I pray that many of you will come together so that we can make a difference. Sincerely

Report-2 :

Had the opportunity to listen a man who has come out of prison almost 12 years for murder, sharing his story about how he became angry at a person and killed him; now he is homeless, has no family, nobody to go to; Another young man, Aaron, said he has been asked to get out of his apartment that he was sharing, his mom recently passed away and now on the road with his pregnant girlfriend. He listened to us carefully as we discussed how the multi-millionaire hollywood stars have lost their homes to wildfires in California; he nodded. We shared the complete Gospel to him asking him to consider reading the Bible and getting to know the God of the Bible, our Lord Jesus who has promised to prepare eternal homes for each of his disciples. He was more than glad to receive the Bible and a few gospel tracts. Several other young ladies also came back to us asking for Bibles and were happy that they received one! I thank God for the opportunity to listen to these broken people who are more than willing to open up about their lives to expect some encouraging word or prayer. Report-1 :

The weather was very promising, though it was little rain in the early morning, but when we reached the venue it was very pleasant and cloudy. We waited for our fellow labourers and as soon as they arrived we set up the table very quickly, because the people gathered over there were lineup and waiting for the food and drinks. Quickly we prayed and started distributing the sandwich, banana, donuts and coffie etc.By the grace of the God we labourers were more than sufficient this time. Since the weather was good, one of our fellow brother’s family and kids came even, my son and my relative also joined with me. She was witnessing the H & H outreach for the first time, and she also helped in serving the coffee. One our fellow brother started distributing tracts and sharing gospel Indidually. Couple of our labourers kids played music and sang some songs, the homeless people were very happy and some were joined singing gospel songs for few minutes. I felt this time outreach was amazing, couple of incidents I noticed are listed below. --Canadian team joined us with new believers for the first time. --Many people were receptive for prayer and gospel tracts. --One lady was totally broken and was crying while praying and repenting, she felt so glad after prayer. --Few of them asked prayer for their broken family to re-union --One Lady came forward and prayed for our ministry --Few of them were very grateful for our ministry and blessed by the ministry. --One lady voluntarily came forward and asked for prayer for her home and job, To sum up it was wonderful outreach, felt very peace, later one of our brother’s prayer we concluded the outreach.

Report-2 :

I am a visitor from India and this is my first visit to hungry and homeless outreach and it’s an amazing experience for me to participate and show God’s love to the lost and homeless people. Even I had a privilege to join our fellow believers in serving the coffee for some of the people. I was surprised to see people coming in a queue for breakfast and coffee and I was so happy to know that the brothers were sharing the good news to the people who are without hope. Some brothers were distributing tracts some even prayed for those people who were very old. I came to know this kind of ministry for the first time. I pray for this outreach and may God’s mercy and Will be done in and through this team who is serving God faithfully. I pray for the salvation of these people and let God’s name be glorified through this ministry.

Report 1:

It was a relatively warm morning due to spring weather. As soon as we reached we set up very quickly and prayed and began to give breakfast items this time there were more people than we usually see during the winter months. As we began to request if we could pray for them many agreed and few of our friends began to pray and with some shared the message of salvation, one person requested a bible and got it,we also got telephone numbers of few people for follow up. One of our friends was for a long period of time counseling a while woman on the side walk. Meanwhile another friend who has over a period of time developed good rapport had gathered several Homeless people and began to clean up the area and later was rewarding them and praying with them. Several of our friends at the tables and our friends daughter were busy distributing initially breakfast and later hygiene bags. Later we concluded with prayer and giving thanks to our Lord.

Report 2:

An unusually large number of homeless people queued up during this month of April as we have seen a little warm weather compared to the previous months. As we ran short of coffee and burgers, a couple of brothers went to fetch the extra burgers and coffee. We got the burgers but there was no huge coffee container available in the nearby McDonald stores. It is a heart wrenching scene to see the hungry and homeless in the richest country of the world filled with abundant food capable of feeding all the world. As few brothers shared the love of Christ to those who were really interested, may the Lord work in their hearts to become the disciples of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I was really encouraged and challenged to focus on having conversation with at least one person and talk to him about what Jesus had done for us on the cross. May God bless all those servants who are ministering God's scattered sheep.

Report 1:

We reached the venue around 8:20 AM, it was little cold may be around 25 degrees Fahrenheit and a fresh weather. We quickly set up the tables arranged the stuffs, and one of our fellow brother prayed and began to invite people to come and have breakfast and coffee. They very well lined up and received the breakfast, coffee and bananas. Couple of our brothers started conversation with homeless people and prayed for them as per their prayer request. This time also one of young brother joined and started supporting to us in the outreach. One of our Canadian brother came with extra coffee and other breakfast stuffs, by the grace of God we were able to distribute all the breakfast items in a 40 minutes time span. Many of them came forward for prayer, one of our brother did the personal counselling and shared the good news of Jesus Christ. By the grace of God this time also we were sufficient labourers at the outreach. We concluded with prayer and thanks giving

Report 2:

It was warm and pleasant day. There were a large number of homeless people who turned on this day. People started to line up before we even had things setup. We started off by a small prayer and gave out some sandwiches and coffee. There were few homeless people whom we see quite often who would eagerly be waiting for us. We offered prayers to all who were in need. I felt pretty nice and happy to see them happy and thankful for what we were doing for them, after all it’s a great feeling to give back to the community. I am so thankful to all the other brothers in “Laborers in Christ” who have been doing this for a while and continue to do so in near future as well.

Report 1:

It was sunny day and the temperature about 32 degrees Fahrenheit, after we got there we prayed and started interacting with people and as usual we began to request if they would like us to pray for them. Many of them agreed and the many of them wanted us to pray to get a permanent place to stay and few said they would like to get out this situation. All of them were very thankful for the breakfast. After sometime we have a slight breeze that made the weather much colder than it looked. One of our Sisters in the Lord who has been working with us for few years Ms.Vivian lost her current accommodation and began to cry and we tried to console her and some of our friends did help her. Please keep her in your prayers. There was steady flow of people coming to our tables. After a while we prayed once again and left the place.

Report 2:

Even though the weather forecast seemed favorable and not so cold, the wind added extra bitterness to the cold. During the one hour of serving breakfast to the homeless, my hands and feet became numb and painful. It never felt so empty praying for the homeless. Here I am with a heated home, a climate-controlled car, warm clothes, praying for the homeless man who has no shelter in the bitter cold. How are they even surviving this? I thought to myself, the homeless people back in India are in a luxury of weather. At least they get to breath comfortably. But this Detroit cold weather is ruthless. Living in comfortable homes, we sometimes take things for granted and I thank God for this opportunity to realize that everything is given to me for a purpose and I should be a faithful steward of all that God has given to me, ready to give an account.

Report 1: Aug-2017

Gal 2:10 - All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along. This month's outreach was different from the usual month outreaches because we had fewer resources on account of the Novi India Day Outreach happening on the same day. So 5 of us from US side and 2 from Windsor, Ontario gathered at the Homeless shelters to provide food to the homeless. People were already waiting for us by the time we reached the venue. The crowd’s size has increased from last time and this time around 140 of them turned up even with the other church groups providing aid nearby. We had coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches, water and banana to feed them and also hygiene kits for their well-being. We started the food distribution with prayer and served 140 people with breakfast sandwiches and coffee and hygiene stuff and since we were few the response time had to be very fast and we did not have resource to pray exclusively but still we prayed for 4-5 people mostly for their good health and housing. All 5 of us with the help of Miss Vivian and provided breakfast and other stuff to people as they Came to our booth. People appreciated the fact we are coming out to help them and provide for their needs. I was happy that I decided to come here and not join the other team as that provided me the opportunity to help the poor. The Canadian laborers took care of assigning the homeless work to clean up the streets and it was so good to see many of them working and also, they volunteered to clean up the waste near our stall. The Canadian laborers spent personal one on one time with several of them and prayed personally for them. This was heartwarming to see that they were taking time to involve the homeless. To summarize, we had a good outreach even with few resources and could provide help to the poor and also encourage them.

Report 2: Sep-2017

This month's outreach was special since we had lots of resources who turned up unexpectedly and were of great help to us and the poor and homeless. The venue was different this time because of the fence that had been set up to create parking spaces and we had to place our tables on the sidewalks. As usual, we started the food distribution with prayer and served 140 people with breakfast sandwiches and coffee and hygiene stuff and people kept on coming to receive the food items and we exhausted all the food items within an hour and this time we also distributed tracts to several of them.

People were very appreciative of the fact that we turned up there to help them and provide food and other necessities. People have been very receptive for prayer and we prayed for several of them and one Corey also accepted the Lord as we prayed for his good health and strength. We also prayed for two Muslims men one named Malik and the other person who knows only Arabic. They both agreed and we prayed for them. The number one prayer need was for housing and good health. The Canadian friends also turned up with the hygiene kits and they assigned everybody with the task of cleaning up the streets and compensated them for their work. People really look forward to his coming so they can do some work and earn some needed money. Our outreach helps the poor in all areas of their need like physical, emotional in talking to people and praying for their issues and also providing some form of work and compensation. People appreciated us again and again for being there and helping them and we ended the outreach with prayer. We give thanks to God Almighty for using us to serve the broken hearted.

- July 15, 2017 -

Report 1:

As usual, we gathered at the Homeless shelters to provide food to the homeless. People were already waiting for us by the time we reached the venue. We had coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches, water and banana to feed them. We started and ended the outreach distribution with Prayer. Also, the gospel tracts were also handed out to few of them who were interested. God provided us adequate resources this time and one brothers' family turned up and also another teenager joined us unexpectedly. The crowds this time were more than we ever ministered to so far and we noticed that the people who came out to our booth were very broken and hurt. They had very severe needs and we encountered 2 ladies. One lady had a stroke and was not able to hold coffee and donut properly and her request for prayer was for a place to stretch her legs and lie down for rest. One old lady who was pregnant with twins came to our booth and also asked for prayer.

Also, one of the homeless persons who used to help us with the distribution started working and had an accident with one of his fingers getting cut while doing some steel work. But this person still turned up with his bandaged hand to help us distribute the necessary items to all of the people. Most of us would have stayed some to get some rest for the hurting hand but not this brother. There are many others like these three who were desperate and acute who needed our physical and spiritual service. It was heartbreaking to see their struggles.

As always, the crowd were appreciative of the fact that we were helping them by providing food and other items. Some people willingly came forward for prayer and sought God's intervention for their problems. We prayed for people's needs - the most basic one of housing. Some people asked for protection, Good health and wisdom. One person named James asked for strength to resist the enemy and for God's help to do well on the job. One of the brothers was also helping an Arabic to apply for Social security details and tried to get somebody who could help him. All of us worked hard and this month's outreach went so fast and we finished in an hour. We praise God for giving us the grace and strength to fulfil his will of reaching out to the poor, lost and unfortunate needy.

Report 2:

During this hot sunny day in Detroit, Michigan, the homeless quickly gathered around the tables kept for serving. Even though there was a little confusion over which direction to come from, the homeless listened to our directions to come and form a line instead of crowding the area. Hungry and desperate, yet they have patience to go back over to form a line. There is definitely something to learn from these humble people every time I visit this place. Their polite requests for a favorite bagel or a banana or a cup of coffee. Their simple prayer requests - a roof under which they can stay and call their home. A lady pregnant with twins sought prayer for the unborn kids. While many working women abort their unborn children for the sake of their own careers and many more who worry too much about which school they should join or which profession they should take, this lady was so unassuming and simple. And more than that - the confidence that she had. Incredible! Lord help us to trust in you like that - with a child like faith!

The last month outreach was amazing, there were 3 young kids of our fellow labourers sons and daughter and they shared their experiences with the first 3 reports and the 4th one is the regular report. All the details is mentioned below in four reports.

Report 1:
People may wonder why there are people are on the streets. Some people say because they did not study or they lost their job. In those cases it might be the person's fault that they are on the street. So you say, "Why should I help them?" It was probably their fault, but in John 12:8 Jesus says, “You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me." Jesus also said in the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25:44-45,"….'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’....'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.' “God wants us to help those who are less fortunate and the hungry and homeless outreach is a way that anyone can do that. It was truly a great experience when all those people came for food in the line. I realized how fortunate I am and how God has blessed me with an education, family, food, a roof, and much more. Serving the people there was moving; when you give them basic items like sandwiches, fruit, water, coffee, donuts, and sanitary products, they are very thankful. It gives a good feeling when you serve the poor and help those in need in such a small way. God is good!

Report 2:
It was a sunny excellent Saturday to do the Lords work. We got bananas, coffee, donuts, McDonald’s sandwiches, and sanitary items. We played Christian music. A lady named Latina Barrows sang a song that she composed on her own. It’s a song she wrote for her children when they were young you can hear the song on the Labourers in Christ Facebook page. They were all blessed and had an excellent, great, majestic time doing the Lords work.

Report 3:
The experience was amazing. I have seen homeless people in India before. This is the first time I saw people help them. When you are helping them you feel happy and they feel like someone else cares for them. The prayer also gives them confidence and much needed hope. When they know that someone helps and prays for them they learn that "God so loved the world that he sent his one and only son to die for our sins."

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ !

The last month outreach detail is mentioned below inthree reports.

Report 1. Understanding homeless.

Homeless is not always a choice but oftentimes a Way of life because of financial problems, medical Issues, addiction, mental stresses, or spiritual Oppression. Many of them carry the memories and pain that entraps their lives. The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the Poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to Proclaim freedom for the captives and release from Darkness for the prisoners, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the Lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are Raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to Them. It is not a burden but a privilege for Laborers in Christ ministry to the Homeless. Knowing that it thrills the heart of Christ then we believe it is a commission. Let’s prepare our Hearts and our lives to seek out opportunities to minister to the poor. As we open all of our heart to god you will see others as he sees them. Let us take time to notice those in need of food, shelter. Unless you minister to others He cannot extend a hand as he seeks to extend his heart. And as the Scriptures in Matthew 25, it would indicate that if we ignore those in need that we ignore The Son of God.

Report 2.

We all gathered at the venue prayerfully with our food items and other things. The weather was better this time. As soon as we started to distribute the breakfast many people came and lined up at our booth. This time we had a new brother who came for the first time to help us. (I believe that God is providing the laborers as need basis,We also prayed for the people and shared the gospel to few people. This time our fellow brothers from Canada were not joined the outreach, hence we were unable to distribute the HYGENE items. We telecasted the outreach program on Facebook live from the Detroit downtown venue so that people can join us to pray. More than 40 people were watching the live program online. God willing in the coming days, we will continue to broadcast the outreach program live. We thank God for providing the technology, to expand His territory and to reach the lost. As a group, we prayed and ended up the outreach. We pray that may God open the hearts of the people and many souls to be added to His kingdom and HIS name be glorified.

Report 3. Isaiah 58 :6,7

" Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? "

This Saturday the 21st of January, the day of outreach the weather was so good for a change. And since the weather was so good, many people came to our stall to receive the breakfast and other items. We started distributing breakfast consisting of sandwiches, donuts, coffee and water. As soon as we were there some ladies thanked us for coming out to help and serve them. One of my Hindu friend wanted to see what we are doing and so He came to be with us and help us to serve the poor. He had been asking for a week to take him to the outreach. God brought him to help us. This time it was only us from the US side as the Canadian brothers could not join us. Vivian our co-Laborer joined us this time and helped distribute food. The need is so great and people kept coming to take food and also for prayer. I prayed with some of them. Many of the people’s needs were heart touching as they wanted their families to be united and bonded and to have reconciliation in their families. I observed that they were selfless and thinking about their families. Two of them asked me to pray for this. Many of them were willing to ask for prayer and one person remarked that you can never have enough of prayer.It was rewarding and fulfilling to reach out to so many of them and we had a good time being there at the homeless shelters.

- December 17, 2016 -

Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed (Prov 11: 25). This Saturday the 17th of December, the day of outreach was so cold and a snowy day and since the weather was so bad, we decided to cancel the event. However we decided to go ahead as the reminder mail went out to all, so we reached the venue at around 9am. They were 3 of us from here and three Canadian brothers who joined there and were of great help to do the setup and start distributing breakfast consisting of sandwiches, donuts, coffee and water.

One African American brother out of nowhere joined and started helping us to distribute food and she replaced Vivian the African American woman who helps us every month who did not turn up that day. This brother helped us to serve people. Many people turned up at our booth and received the food and some also asked us to pray for them and we prayed for them to be healed and for reconciliation of their families and for sons and daughters.

One lady thanked us for coming to provide them with food and coffee that day and we finished the outreach in less than an hour and we were happy to have helped people even in that cold weather.

REPORT - 1

Proverbs 22:9, The generous will themselves be blessed for they share their food with the poor.

We gathered at the shelter after procuring all the food and hygiene stuff. The weather was very cold and bad and when we arrived at the shelter there were lots of churches distributing and so it made me wonder if people would come to our booth. However, people started forming a queue before our booth in anticipation of the food. we started off with a prayer to God to bless the people and started distributing breakfast, sandwiches, coffee and donuts. This time our outreach was broadcast live on Facebook and 36 of them watched the outreach directly. We also distributed hygiene and winter wear and it was needed as it was very cold and chill. I prayed for some people for their needs and their families. We all prayed for the people who needed prayer and finally ended the outreach with prayer. We were able to help the needy and poor even though the weather was cold and chill.

REPORT - 2

Why are these people homeless? Sometimes it is due to bad choices, but it is also due to misfortune, illness, and inequities in our Society. About one-fourth of all homeless people suffer some form of severe and persistent mental illness. Others are physically ill or disabled. It is important to understand the causes and needs of the homeless. The laborers for Christ understand that there are physical, social, and spiritual dimensions to their needs.

John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes In Him shall not perish but have eternal life. "God is the One who seeks and saves (Luke 19:10), revealing Himself to people (Mathew 11:27; 16:15-17), and drawing people to Himself (John. 6:44). If God did not do the seeking, saving, revealing, and drawing of people to Him, all of our outreach efforts would be meaningless and fruitless. The Lord Jesus Christ initiates the Laborers for Christ outreach ministries to process by assuring people of the reality of His love so people can feel and experience for themselves, answering their doubts.so people can know and believe and awakening their faith so people hear and respond as "faith comes by hearing" and authenticating His message of reconciliation so people see and become accountable.

REPORT – 3

We all gathered at the venue prayerfully with our food items and other things. We faced very cold weather this time. However, many people came into our booth for prayer and we had a new brother who came forward to help us and agreed to be part even in future.(I believe that god is providing the laborers as need bases 0. We also prayed for the people and distributed the winter wear as they were very much needed in this cold. We experimented Facebook live telecast of the outreach program from the Detroit downtown venue. Around 35 people were watching the program online. God willing in the coming days, we will continue to broadcast the outreach program live. We thank God for providing the technology, to expand His territory and to reach the lost. As a group, we prayed and ended up the outreach. We pray that may God open the hearts of the people and many souls to be added to His kingdom and HIS name be glorified. Praise the LORD

OUTREACH REPORT- 1

As usual we gathered at the shelters to distribute food to the poor and needy people of Detroit and we were a little shorthanded this time. However, all the 7 of us including one of the brothers' children and one local aide were able to handle the steady and ever increasing
oncoming crowd to receive breakfast and other essential items by God's grace. We were able to distribute the 120 odd sandwiches in no time and also many of them liked the Coffee and Doughnuts. This time I distributed coffee for most of the time and I was glad to serve the people with kindness and compassion. One of the lady thanked us for coming to help them.
I have noticed that more and more peoples were coming to our stall and were waiting for the hygienic stuff which was provided by our Canadian brother Pierre and his team. Pierre has a special way of friendship and relationship with the homeless as he encourages them to clean the streets and pays them for their hard work. He also prays with them and shares the gospel and listens to their burdens and this unique way of ministry is welcomed by the homeless as they also get paid for the work in addition to having their needs met.
I prayed for some people for their needs.Some of them wanted me to pray for their health, Job, Shelter ,Family and disability to be approved. I was really touched by one James who asked me to pray for universal issues like People of Detroit,Flint water crisis and Israel.

I really enjoyed going out to help the poor and needy and to hear their burdens and pray and serve them.

OUTREACH REPORT- 2

‘It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

What a tremendous blessing and what joy the Lord has given us to share in His Harvest. But joy in the Lord rarely comes without putting away the flesh, thanks to His Grace. This morning was one of those Saturday mornings; I had a very long week on the road, came home tired to a wife that was ill and needed me to take care of the house while she rested. All my weak body wanted to do was sleep-in, but that would have meant letting my brothers and sisters, who depend on me.
"I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 Through Him only, as without Christ , that weak flesh would have stayed in bed this morning and would have had missed the incredible joy He gives us in serving others. One of the things that is most evident in talking with a lot of our friends about their struggles is the shame they feel at not being able to work for their money. Most people in North America have enjoyed employment without struggle for most of their lives, but with overall economic growth at a standstill, a lot of people struggle to find meaningful work. A lot of these dear ones are disabled or have criminal records and simply cannot find a job that will allow them to provide for a family. This is a great shame for them.

So a couple of summer's ago, the Lord encouraged us to start giving small jobs for the outreach. We would pay folks for picking up garbage, for sweeping the street, for cutting the grass on an abandoned lot. This ministry is great in 3 ways;

1) Practically, at a mere physical-level it helps people economically and builds up their motivation to "earn" money rather than beg for it

2) As well, emotionally, it instills a sense of capability in being able to see the work they accomplished at the end

3) And most importantly, spiritually, it gives 5-10 minutes to fellowship and share with them! This time allows us to build a relationship, introduce ourselves and know about them and their struggles. Most are very open to sharing and are glad to have someone to talk to. What a great opportunity to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus! Coming back every month, praying for each person you've met and following up on their struggles and needs makes a big difference!

" Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24

Thanks to Him Who provides all, for His glory only. How grateful we are.

OUTREACH REPORT- 3

Jesus said, "I am the Vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5)

There are actually three different vines found in the Scripture: the Past Vine, the Present Vine and the Future Vine.

The Past Vine was the nation of Israel (Psalm 80:8-16, Isaiah 5:1-7, Jeremiah 2:21, Ezekiel 19:10-14 & Hosea 10:1). In an act of wonderful grace, God 'transplanted' Israel into Canaan and gave the nation every possible benefit. "What more could I have done for my vineyard that I have not already done?" God asked (Isaiah 5:4). If ever a nation had everything it needed to succeed, it was Israel. But the vine produced wild grapes! Instead of practicing justice, it practiced oppression; instead of producing righteousness, it produced unrighteousness and cries of distress from the victims (Isaiah 5:7).

God had to deal with the nation Israel and chasten it. But even that did not produce lasting results. When God's own Son came to the vineyard, they cast Him out and killed Him (Matthew 21:33-46).

Jesus says, "Abide in Me". Remaining in Christ demands worship, meditation on God's Word, prayer, sacrifice and service. But all these experiences start only at Calvary through Salvation in His matchless name.

Isaiah 58:10: "… if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday."

This verse about the laborers for Christ spends time with the poor and needy. Learning to do this is the essences of the Christian journey we call sanctification; to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Jesus. This is how we become conformed to Jesus, the poor man, the man who poured himself out completely in ministry and on the cross. This is also how we become conformed to the heavenly Father, who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all.

IT WAS SUCH A BLESSING TO SEE AND BE PART OF: in spite of severe cold weather people stood there for few seconds to be prayed for.

OUTREACH REPORT- 1

"The Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35.

It was tough to stand on the streets of Detroit due to the cold weather the temperature around 32F and with the wind blowing against us during the outreach. We were well equipped with lots of manpower and even though it was late still many people kept coming to receive food items. I was happy to have had prayed for 4-5 people and most of the people I prayed, requested for a place of their own and also good health. This time more and more people kept coming for prayer which indicated people trying to depend on God for their needs and desperate situations. We prayed for one lady who had a surgery on her foot recently and asked God to heal her. The other people I prayed for their good health and one person asked for the Addiction of smoking to be gone. May God remember all of them and do something great for this needy and poor people. In a nutshell, It really gave me immense joy to have had gone and did something to help the homeless.

OUTREACH REPORT- 2

It was a cold morning today here in the Homeless area of Detroit. But still everyone was very blessed with coffee, chips, donuts, water, and bananas muffins. And most of all prayer for the Homeless, witnessing In Christ name touching lives that matter and should to all saints in the name of the Lord. Building a Trust and Friendship, and show we care for the less fortunate. Our attitude as believers should be it’s a privilege to help others and not a duty!

OUTREACH REPORT- 4

I would like to share that God is still working in the Laborers in Christ through many people diligently. Brother George Thomas and his Wife Anju from Westland were very much interested in donating the cupcakes to Laborers in Christ outreach ministry, they enquired last month about it and I confirmed the date after getting information from you .they could not come because they were traveling. Praise God and we hope and pray the ministry grows and we do more work. I Thank God for giving me this opportunity Thanks and have blessed week

God by His Grace has been reaching to these people and we are very thankful to for all of you who are praying for this outreach ministry.

OUTREACH REPORT I

It was a day with plenty of sunshine and 41 degrees Fahrenheit. It was also a day when many of our Labourers could not come due to illness/school and other things, but the Lord sent workers to work along side with us. A young man from a church in canton MI. Joshua joined us and prayed for many. The overwhelming prayer requests was to get a place to stay and prayer for health issues. It was also a day when we could visibly see the Church in America was living the Gospel. One of the former homeless person Vivian came with her Nephew who joyfully was making the coffee and serving along with us.Vivian has been working with us for quite sometime and in spite of our gentle and loving admonishing she had tendency to take things secretly items such as sandwiches/hygiene items and other things more than what she will need. This time it was different the Lord provided opportunity for her to pray for few.

The interesting thing was all the sandwiches were given away and one person came looking for a second sandwich and she opened her stash and gave one and after two minutes or so another person came hungry and Vivian very generously opened her bag and gave another one away. It was a pure blessing that our eyes could see the love of God working in a person.

Another blessing was to see fellow homeless people helping one another to find instructions for temporary housing. Charity begins at Home first. America is our home, let us gird our waist with towel to serve the poor and needy. It is a profound truth we are indeed doing/giving this to our Lord. Could this be one of the greatest acts of worship?

OUTREACH REPORT II

This time The weather condition was very pleasant, but we were very short handed with just few of us in our team. Unfortunately our friends from Canada could not join us. The crowd quickly started trickling in to our booth. The people gladly received all that we had offered and also many of them liked Do-nuts coffee and banana. We had also distributed winter clothes for them. This time I was serving the items and also had a chance to pray for them. One of the Guy (He was a resident of Dearborn heights) was very excited and happy about our SUBS. Personally he came to us and greeted us with thanks. Also many of the people were willingly coming forward for prayer and some of them stayed till the end to talk to us. One lady from their group came forward to help us in distributing the things. We had a good time talking to them. Due to absence of Canadian team we were unable to distribute the Hygiene materials. I Felt Happy to Pray for them and their salvation.

OUTREACH REPORT III

And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ "Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ ... Matthew 25:40-45

God by His Grace has been reaching to these people and we are very thankful to for all of you who are praying for this outreach ministry.

OUTREACH REPORT I

As usual this month's outreach during the winter season was difficult because of the bad weather.
It was very cold and windy out on the streets of Detroit. Our friends from Canada also joined us at the venue and helped us arrange all the items quickly to start the distribution.
Normally we provide food items first and then at the end distribute all the hygienic stuff but this time we handed out all the items at one go to minimize the people exposure to cold weather. This time we had extra supplies of coffee and do nuts to provide for the needy and so we could help more people.

The crowds quickly started trickling in to our booth. The people gladly received all that we had to offer and also many of them liked Sandwiches,Coffee,Do-nuts and Hygienic kits.

Many of the people were shivering in the cold weather and gratefully received the gloves and warmers. This time I was serving the items and was wondering that I did not get a chance to pray for any people.

Also many of the people were willingly coming forward for prayer and some of them stayed till the end to talk to us. I happened to meet Mohammed from Pakistan after a long time and he remembered me and we exchanged pleasantries and conversed with him in Hindi and Urdu mix and I also served him some coffee. He was happy to find somebody who could talk to him in his mother tongue.

He also brought one more friend of his Nigel and Nigel was happy to meet a group of believers and asked me to pray for him to sleep well and for good provisions. I felt happy to pray for him and Mohammed and asked God to help them.

OUTREACH REPORT II

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, But in humility consider others Better than yourselves.

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also the interests of others." "Your attitude should be the same As that of Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped? But made Himself nothing, Taking the very nature of a servant, Being made in human likeness." Philippians 2:3-7

It is exceedingly important for every one of us "Selfish ambition or conceit" just has no good place in our attitude. And I think we all realize, where there is selfish ambition and conceit, people don't get along and the Lord's work is not done. Isn't that right? Selfish ambition kills churches, dishonors the cause, makes people sick, and offends God. So let's make up our mind, we will have no part in it! I need to make a specific choice. You need to make a specific choice that you will not have a parade in your own honor and that you will not exalt yourself and look down on others. You will not praise yourself, boast, or act in any conceited way. We need to learn what good attitudes are in keeping with the gospel of Christ, then evaluate ourselves, review that teaching, and determine personally: we will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

If your attitude is not right, I don't think you can fix anything else! Everything else in your life, depends upon attitude: Your participation in worship; Your responsibility to your spouse and children; Dealing with people; Handling temptation; Enduring suffering; Being properly related to other Christians. If your attitude is not right, you cannot effectively handle, or deal with or fix anything else. Proverbs 4:23... "Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life."

We labourers in Christ we prayed for all the homeless people, for all broken families, for all women and children who are alone without any help, for all the sick people who are suffering, for all the old people in the city of Detroit. Please continue our ministry in your daily prayers may the lord here our prayers.

Prayer brings life to our relationship with God. God’s word says that "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11

SOME THINGS THAT WE WITNESSED:

OUTREACH REPORT I

It was one of the toughest outreaches this year owing to the bad weather. It was very cold out on the streets of Detroit. The temperature was around 25'F and with the wind blowing Saturday morning it was really difficult to stand outside in the open and attempt to do any distribution of food and other items.

We were very short handed with just 3 of us from the US side and 3 from the Canada side and I was wondering it would be possible to help the poor. with so less people and the bad weather. Also I did not think many people would come to our booth as there were already many outreaches serving the poor that morning.

However the crowds quickly gathered at our booth and the 100 odd sandwiches were done in just 15 minutes. The people gladly received all that we had to offer and also many of them liked Coffee and Doughnuts and the Warmers. We were struggling in the cold weather even though we were dressed in warm attire. I thought about the people's plight in this freezing cold weather. One of the brothers remarked that we don't have any excuse to complain and said that they had a right to do so because of the lack of facilities.

All in all, It was a much needed service to the people in this cold weather. We did not mind the cold weather and went to provide the essential and needy stuff to make it thru the winter. I would request to people to at least provide warm winter kits even though you may not be able to make it to the Outreach place.

SOME THINGS THAT WE WITNESSED:

It was a very cold morning and many homeless and hungry persons were seeking to get something to eat and drink a warm cup of coffee and many requested prayer and said pray that we will have a place to stay and not be on the street.

OUTREACH REPORT I

The weather forecast for the Saturday of 21st November was of falling snow up to 5-7 inches. It was the winter season's first snowfall and the weather out there really was cold. I could feel the cold and the chilliness as I was standing there near the Detroit shelter. It took real commitment for anyone of us gathered that day to have ventured out of our comfort zones. I am happy that I could motivate myself to join this month's outreach to be able to serve the poor and needy.

I helped the brothers set up the tables and also served some food items and later I prayed with 3-4 people after they received their breakfast sandwich. I prayed with one of the person by name James and He introduced himself interestingly as one of the New testament characters. I prayed with them for God's blessings upon their health and for good future and protection.
The need is really great and people are in need of winter accessories like scarfs, gloves, winter cap and other warm wear. I distributed winter accessories for some people but it was not enough for all the people. God always loves the poor and needy and the Bible says in Proverbs 28:27 " Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse " I have been able to spend some time and effort in showing care for the poor and the needy and I am happy for having done that.

OUTREACH REPORT II

Love Thanksgiving I love the food, the fellowship, the friends and family. Let's take Thanksgiving holiday and opportunity to both give praise to God for our blessings and to give service to those in need. In Matthew 25, there are three short stories told by Jesus that illustrate the requirements for entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Specifically in verses 31-45, Jesus tells his followers that entering the Kingdom of Heaven requires one to see and serve the poor among them. Moreover, it requires that they must see their service to the poor as service to him Jesus.

Jesus says, "35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'.....40 The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25: 35, 36 and 40.

With these powerful words, Jesus poses a challenge that should cause us to see the Thanksgiving holiday with compassionate eyes. For if we take these words seriously, we should no longer be able to gather around food filled tables and offer praise and prayers to God without also examining our hearts to discern what we can do better to serve the poor and socially marginalized. Specifically, those of us who call ourselves Christians should feel some inner nudging to use our holiday gratitude and thankfulness as motivation to seek out and serve the disinherited, dispossessed, and disenfranchised in our society. Some might say that our Christian witness demands it.

So this Thanksgiving, let us not simply offer prayers from our dinner tables that ask Jesus to go visit the poor. After all, Jesus said in Matthew 25, that he is already with the poor. The question is, are we? Let us praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving." Psalm 69:30

SOME THINGS THAT WE WITNESSED:

1.A homeless person came up to us said that last summer when one of our young children played Amazing grace on Violin touched her and made a big difference in her life please click the video link to see and hear in her own words.

2.We were able to reconnect with sister Suad a homeless person who was being helped by one our of friends,she said that her phone number had changed.

3.A Family with four very young children all of them less than twelve years old on the street around 8:40 AM in 39 degrees Fahrenheit weather were at our tables looking for breakfast on the street with one child in the stroller with them.

Like this family there are many lives with different circumstances and struggles. Please PRAY and DO SOMETHING to be a blessing to them and ultimately to our Lord.

OUTREACH REPORT I

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.- James 4:17 Do all the Good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can- John Wesley.

John Wesley's words are so much of wisdom and goodness and speaks of doing the most good when it is in your power to do good. This agrees with the scripture of James 4:17 to do good to people.

I am happy to have been part of this month's outreach and was able to help in some small way to serve the poor and needy. I donated some of my old clothes this time and felt very happy that it served the needs of people.. I helped the brothers set up the tables and also served some things and later I prayed with some of the poor people after they received their breakfast sandwich.

I prayed with 5 people and the main request was for a home. The people were tired of staying in the shelters and two of them asked if my church had some shelter where they could stay. I also prayed for a brother who wanted to stay sober and be free from the bondage of alcohol. I prayed for a woman whose name is Shannon for her two daughters to study well.

I believe that God who look after the suffering of people will have compassion on them and will provide the needs of the people.

I felt satisfied and fulfilled for having had done some help to the poor and needless and making a small difference in the lives of the homeless people of Detroit.

Exhortation

"Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38)

It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; his call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38). Prayer moves the heart of God. It is the powerful key to resolving the vocations question. Within the People of God, there is a specific mission awaiting each one. Because the needs of the "harvest" are so great, all the members of God's People must grow in the awareness of "being called".

SOME THINGS THAT WE WITNESSED DUE TO OUR SIMPLE EFFORT:

1.Two new brothers who were formerly homeless came and were part of the outreach along with Sister Vivian who used to be homeless also and now a regular outreach team member making coffee/distributing food/giving bibles/gospel tracts and asking people if they need someone to pray for them and with them.

2.We have been witnessing to a homeless lady for a very long time,who always used to be intoxicated and not very coherent this time she voluntarily came and requested us to pray stating "I need prayer this addiction is taking over me I am drinking all the time".

Like her there are many lives with different circumstances and struggles. Let us continue to PRAY and DO SOMETHING to be a blessing to them and ultimately to our Lord.

OUTREACH REPORT II

I thank the Lord for his Grace and Love in your life which shines for His Glory.

The Lord often has different plans in His Sovereign Will than our limited human understanding often do not comprehend.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?" For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. - Romans 11:33-36

I find great comfort in this passage this morning, as we see the sorrow and the plight of so many and feel the struggles in our very own lives. But God is present, God is in control. For from Him, and through Him and for Him are all things. Wow, what a relief. To live and understand that statement requires faith. The world will tell you that this is foolish. As the common saying goes; "God will help those who help themselves." This could not be further from the truth. We have no ability to help ourselves - we are utterly hopeless without Our Creator. What comfort to be able to fall on our knees and enter the Throne Room of His Grace when we so need to.

And our desire is to tell others about His Glory, about how loving and gracious and merciful he is. And this is what we were able to do today, and for that I thank Him. Please keep Don in prayers who is already worried about what will happen to him in the cold of winter (he lost his foot due to frostbite last year!) and keep our sister Vivian in prayers as well as she continues to grow in her walk. Her son has gone back to jail and this is tearing her heart. Please pray for her and her son Darrell diligently.

To Him all the Glory.

OUTREACH REPORT III

It was indeed a blessing to join for such a kind occasion and a joy to honor and serve the Lord through this effort of feeding the needy and underprivileged.. I can't even comprehend and express how glad it feels to serve the homeless as they were receiving their Subs Sandwiches, donuts and hot coffee cups ; the smile on their faces was winning the Lord's heart and I hope he who made us all equal in image is rejoicing with the Angels seeing his commandment being fulfilled "blessed are those who help the poor and needy" and hope this general us efforts brings souls to his kingdom as we becomes the Salt of the earth and the light for the nations. Also looking at their hope and faith as they are desired / shared their generous prayer requests to soon get a home of their own / some shared a deep desire for a new house / new apartment / new comfortable place to live I learned that this is what we can having hope when there is no hope ... Amazed to see that living homeless everyday and depending on the kind efforts of the others they wait for their food but the desire to the sovereign God for having blessing them with a new home is actually faith.

OUTREACH REPORT IV

The weather this month was rainy and cloudy on the day of the outreach event and we were late to reach the venue and by the time we reached the venue lots of the people were already standing in queues. As soon as we reached two African Americans helped unload our stuff and also offered to help us distribute the items. I observed that the other churches who distribute food were late in coming and we were the first ones to reach the location and so many more people joined our queue. We distributed the regular breakfast sandwich,coffee and doughnuts and this time we had many people joining after the summer season and so we had extra helpers to meet the increased number of people. I did help out by serving water etc and also prayed for a lady named Janet and she wanted for me to pray for a home. I prayed that GOD would take of her need and help her. May God help her to find the place He has for her. It rained heavily towards the end of the food distribution and we had to run for shelter or get umbrellas. However we were able to distribute clothes due to the generosity of one brother and also hygienic kits courtesy our Canadian brothers.

So God blessed our outreach program this month and more and more resources are needed as the winter draws near.

OUTREACH REPORT I

Isaiah 58:10: "… if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday."

This verse about the laborers for Christ spends time with the poor and needy. Learning to do this is the essence of the Christian journey which we call sanctification; to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Jesus. This is how we become conformed to Jesus, the poor man, the man who poured himself out completely in ministry and on the cross.

This is also how we become conformed to the heavenly Father, who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all.

OUTREACH REPORT II

Prov 19:17 - Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done. According to this verse, I and other friends who joined us lent our time, energy and substance to help the poor and needy of the Detroit Homeless last Saturday and it was a good and fulfilling time of service.

This time lot of our friends could not join us and only 7 of us were there to distribute food, tea and doughnuts and also the other hygiene stuff. The distribution started a little later than usual and even though there were other church groups at the scene, still the crowds made it to our table. There was a steady stream of people coming to our location even till the end.

I distributed water for some time and prayed for people as they needed. This time the people were quite open and asked for prayer and I prayed for some 5 people that day and I prayed for their health, provision, family and other needs. I asked one lady(Name Desna dean) to repeat the salvation prayer and she repeated what I said and I believe God saved her and touched her. She is an American Indian and asked us if we are Indians and from Cherokee group.

I also prayed for one Vito for his health and safe keeping. I was able to pray freely and most people who approached for prayer had an open heart. I felt fulfilled that day for having done something for the poor and needy.

It was really a great outreach where all of us united to minister to the needs of the hungry, hurting and needy people on the streets of Detroit.

OUTREACH REPORT I

On this beautiful Detroit morning, many folks reminded me of all the blessing the Lord has bestowed upon me. And yet I fall short all the time,

"For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" - Romans 3:23-24

And only in Jesus do I have life. I am so thankful for His Love in paying the price for my sins. There is so much hope in that love, such comfort.

Yet many of the folks we ran into this morning have not this comfort in their hearts. I pray that the Lord touches their hearts, especially Vivian, Grady and Mitchell. Please pray for those dear ones with me and their salvation's. And we put our trust in Him to save many.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9

Thank you Lord for the great blessing this morning.

OUTREACH REPORT II

Corey is a 30 year old man from Pennsylvania who has been around for a while here in Detroit. He comes from a rough and abusive family background. He still struggles with forgiving his mother. He got diagnosed with Diabetes. Life on the street is hard even for healthy people, so one can imagine his plight! As Corey shared his life story with us, we shared the gospel with him through music and the word of God. We explained about God’s love and forgiveness that is available through the Lord Jesus. Then we prayed asking God to reveal himself to Corey and show the way of salvation to him.

We also shared the gospel with Martha, Starr, Jose, Timothy and many more. We praise the Lord these opportunities. Each has a different story to tell; yet the common thing is all need Jesus.

Please continue to keep this ministry in prayer. May the Lord bless his Word that was shared and may his name be exalted.

OUTREACH REPORT III

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
But in humility consider others
Better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also the interests of others."
"Your attitude should be the same
As that of Christ Jesus,
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped?
But made Himself nothing,
Taking the very nature of a servant,
Being made in human likeness."
Philippians 2:3-7

It is exceedingly important for every one of us "Selfish ambition or conceit" just has no good place in our attitude. And I think we all realize, where there is selfish ambition and conceit, people don't get along and the Lord's work is not done. Isn't that right? Selfish ambition kills churches, dishonors the cause, makes people sick, and offends God. So let's make up our mind, we will have no part in it! I need to make a specific choice. You need to make a specific choice that you will not have a parade in your own honor and that you will not exalt yourself and look down on others. You will not praise yourself, boast, or act in any conceited way. We need to learn what good attitudes are in keeping with the gospel of Christ, then evaluate ourselves, review that teaching, and determine personally: we will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

If your attitude is not right, I don't think you can fix anything else! Everything else in your life, depends upon attitude: Your participation in worship; Your responsibility to your spouse and children; Dealing with people; Handling temptation; Enduring suffering; Being properly related to other Christians. If your attitude is not right, you cannot effectively handle, or deal with or fix anything else.

Proverbs 4:23... "Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life."

We labourers for Christ we prayed for all the homeless people, for all broken families, for all women and children who are alone without any help, for all the sick people who are suffering, for all the old people in the city of Detroit. Please continue our ministry in your daily prayers may the lord here our prayers.

Prayer brings life to our relationship with God. God’s word says that "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11

Few Brief Testimonies:

This time we came across a Pakistani gentlemen from Muslim background who was homeless, we were able to share the gospel and one of the workers is following up with him and taking him to Pakistani Church to help him further.

We had few young children skillfully playing the gospel songs on the street while our fellow workers were cleaning the area,giving Breakfast/fruit/coffee/donuts and daily hygiene items while many were praying and sharing the Good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with them and giving them gospel tracts/bibles a needed.

While these children were playing music and singing many homeless people joined us and were singing and some had tears of joy and received some comfort from that.

We had another young man from a youth group joined after some time and stated playing Guitar and also another homeless man took his guitar and played for some time.

Our Lady missionary is following up with "Suad" the homeless person that we had mentioned last time. Another person is also trying to follow up with Maher another homeless person.

Please continue to pray for all these persons, the Lord is giving us many opportunities reach out and be a blessing in a simple way to them.

The need is plenty, we always see new homeless persons, we need committed people to continue to effectively reach out.

OUTREACH REPORT I

We thank the Lord for a beautiful summer morning in Detroit. The whole area was just busy with people and there were 2-3 other church groups already having a large crowd of people around as they distributed goods to the needy. We quickly set up distribution of the goods that were brought in. People also quickly gathered around and lined to help distribute the goods. We were very grateful for the help. Few young children were playing gospel music as the rest of us mingled with the people. Gospel tracts were shared, prayers were offered for a few willing folks and as the Lord gave additional opportunities, there was one-on-one sharing of the gospel as well.

As always people are very receptive and we praise the Lord for such a response. This is a wonderful ministry, even though we will never know how much impact we have this side of heaven. However the Lord knows and we are so grateful for that. We believe and trust his promises that these words that were spoken will not return to him empty but will accomplish his purpose and that he will be glorified.

Please continue praying for salvation of these people who heard the gospel and that the Lord might grant them repentance and they may embrace Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

John 4:34-38 "34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. 38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor."

OUTREACH REPORT II

This month's outreach was really good and useful. I heard reports of some shootings over the weekend at Detroit but God kept us safe and helped us to come home safely.

As usual, we brothers from our end gathered at 3rd St Detroit to provide food and other essential stuff for the poor people of Detroit. The home less people can stay in the shelters till morning 7 a.m and then have to stay out on the streets till the time when they are readmitted into the shelters at night.So they just wander on the streets or find some spot and wait there.

We were able to set up the table and arrange the items within no time so that the distribution could happen. There was good coordination among all of us as several guys joined from all different places to serve the poor. The people were served with good breakfast and coffee and also were supplied with bibles to connect to God.

I really liked the way all of us were united to minister to the needy and each person knew what he should do and did selfless service. I was glad that I could pray for some people for their healing needs and also for provision for their needs and protection. I spoke to one person who was hurt that some people cheated him long time back and was still hurting from that episode and was able to share it with me. So the peoples needs are great and they not only have physical but also emotional and mental and spiritual needs. It was very special with one of our friends singing lovely sings to praise God.

We as a group are trying our best to reach out to the poor and needy. I was very tempted to not join that Saturday and sleep for some time. But it was good that I went as I was able to be of help in speaking Hindi to a Pakistani. He is very much in need of a job and wanted to have some people to speak to him in his language.

I am trying to help him to connect to his fellow countrymen so he can feel a sense of belonging.

I pray that many would be burdened with the needs of helpless and homeless people and come forward to help us with their time and talents and i was able to do so to the least of these and am so happy and glad for having done so.

OUTREACH REPORT III

Dear friends in Christ last outreach was an amazing experience for us in our journey. We the laborers for Christ in Detroit offered help to many people by providing food and clothing to all the homeless and we had the privilege to spread the good news of our lord Jesus Christ.

God's Commands Concerning the Poor

Leviticus 19:9-10 "When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God" - Deuteronomy 15:7 "If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother"

Jesus is deeply concerned about poor people. Here, Jesus means those who are impoverished economically. Does this mean that He is not concerned about the wealthy or the common people who are not poor? No, it does not. He just did not have to express that concern here. His audience would have understood that a leader would be concerned about those who are better off. By focusing on the most needy, He includes all who have needs. Thus, He begins by expressing concern for those who were despised by others.

God's Blessings for Those Who Serve the Poor

Deuteronomy 15:10 "Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to" - Psalm 41:1

"Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble"

Faithful follower of Christ will fulfill the social aspects of God’s Law, and in doing so, he will further bring glory to God because these horizontal commands apply directly to one’s relationship to the Lord. Jesus demands that His followers obey His commandments in order to truly love Him, and Jesus declares that caring for the poor is caring for Him. Thus, understanding His commandments concerning poverty is vital to fully understanding a proper Christian reaction to this hardship.

Follow up report regarding Suad by a Sister in the Lord:

I'm so thankful that God brought the opportunity to love and minister to a vulnerable, impoverished, cop-tic, Egyptian woman through Laborers in Christ. One of the Laborers in Christ workers told me about this woman will call "SUE" and gave me her number.

We picked her up at her old dilapidated home on a street, where crime is high and most lots are empty or have boarded up homes. She live with her two sons. One son is in prison.

Sue used to work for a large hotel, she is illiterate, seemingly cognitively impaired, and has a low English level, so it is easy for her to be taken advantage of her employer of 15 years, has always payed her cash, to avoid taxes. This makes her ineligible for unemployment. She desperately wants to work. She doesn't have enough to live on. She doesn't feel safe in her home.

What she does have (a car that doesn't even work) gets destroyed (windows broken) where she lives. She collected napkins, paper towels, mints, and such that was free or available at the restaurant or access.

This poor woman had every reason to ask for money. Instead, she desperately wanted to work. How honorable.

We searched for jobs in cleaning, dish washing and food preparation.

One opportunity came to be a light for Christ to a Muslim Lebanese man because of my weakness. I didn't know how to use computers, or programs to access. So i suggested to SUE that we pray.

After I prayed over with SUE, the man will call "Mo" said "Wow!", that's really neat. Another woman was touched as well. God was glorified in weakness.

I plan to meet with her again, this week. Lord willing to help her further, as she couldn't complete her resume and job search without her Social Security # (which she didn't have memorized).

I was struck by God's deep love for Sue and sought to express this to her. God led Laborers in Christ to go beyond give Subway sandwich. His love flowed through his people. Please pray for Sue to get a job and safe modest home. Please pray that she would reach out to our beautiful Lord.

Please pray for "Laborers in Christ" as they serve the least of these "In Jesus Name". They need our time, money and prayers for this Great Work!.

Two Brief Testimonies:

1. We were reaching out to two persons from middle east background for nearly nine months on the street,this month we found the right people to assist them and also to communicate in their language. Please pray for them 1.Saud (Female) 2. Maher ( Male).

2. We were blessed to hear a homeless person from Haiti background to whom we were reaching for quite sometime and finally got a place to stay and he is coming whenever he can to assist another Senior citizen who comes frequently to reach out to the hungry and homeless people. He said "Where are the little children who used to come and sing and play instruments on the street here, I was very much touched and encouraged by that". His name is Frank (short form for a long Haitian name).

We saw many people not in the best of physical health and one with Insulin pen sitting on the side walk on stool rolling walker looking for some food and assistance, if you look carefully at the photos you can see this person and many other persons. Please pray for them.

OUTREACH REPORT I

On Saturday May, 16th, a group of brothers and sisters of different nationalities met in Downtown Detroit to reach the hungry and homeless people of the city as a monthly event and to pray for those in need and to deliver the message of the gospel. Food, coffee and fruits were distributed as a simple breakfast meal. Special prayers were held for those who asked for their special needs and concerns. One to one conversations took place to listen to people who needed to talk and to give them support and encouragement. Those people in need were waiting for their breakfast and prayers very patiently as they do every third Saturday of the month. Personal hygiene supplies were distributed as well, they included soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, deodorants, and shampoos. These supplies are important as a way for them to improve their hygiene and health after all.

Being around those people is not only important to help them, but it gives us, believers, an inner appreciation for how fortunate and blessed we are in this life. Talking to them one person at a time was very important to have a closer look at the their daily struggles in life. This experience is helpful in enforcing that all human kinds are equal God’s creations regardless of color, race, or ethnicity.

Dear friends in Christ last outreach was an amazing experience for us in our journey. 2 Corinthians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort

Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

The parable of the laborers in the vineyard is about coveting, about our frustration with the grace of God as it applies not to us, but to others. Notice the flow of the narrative as the workers are compensated for their labors: When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, "Call the laborers and give them their pay, beginning with the last and then going to the first. When those hired about five o'clock came, each of them received the usual daily wage. When the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received the usual daily wage. And when they received it, they grumbled against the landowner, saying, 'These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.'"

The last are literally first in that they are paid first. And the first, who have labored longest, must also wait the longest to get theirs. But notice as well that the first who are now last do not receive nothing or less, they receive the same, as the laborers themselves say, "you have made them equal to us...." So perhaps it should be said that the last shall be first, and the first shall be the same.

This element of the parable is taken up in the other Gospels and in Revelation; this scandalous reversal of expectation, of our sense of justice, and even of our hopes, is a central piece of the New Testament. Whoever wants to be first must be last, and servant of all (Mark 9:35); so much for human ideas of greatness. Who is worthy to climb the holy hill, and enter the gate of God's kingdom? Some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last (Luke 13:30). And it is Jesus, who is first and last (Revelation 1:17), who tells us that we need not fear; for in the one who is both first and last, the first and the last are brought together when we are called to lay down the burdens of our days and find our home with God.

The scandal of this parable is that we are all equal recipients of God's gifts. The scandal of our faith is that we are often covetous and jealous when God's gifts of forgiveness and life are given to other in equal measure. And the scandal of our preaching, if based on this parable, ought to encompass both.

Scripture which says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (Luke 10:2)

It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; his call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38) It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; his call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38). Prayer moves the heart of God. It is the powerful key to resolving the vocations question. Within the People of God, there is a specific mission awaiting each one. Because the needs of the "harvest" are so great, all the members of God's People must grow in the awareness of "being called".

OUTREACH REPORT I

Ephesians 2:17-18: 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

We had a beautiful morning in Detroit. The weather was nice and everybody seemed to appreciate the spring weather especially after the cold winter. Brothers Andy, Pierre and myself joined the Michigan group and set up the supply table for distribution. We gathered for prayer asking the Lord to bless and guide his work among the people.

As usual, things went fast. Everyone was busy helping with the distribution of supplies, sharing the gospel and praying for people. Gospel tracts were distributed as we listened to the concerns of the people. These are real people with the real needs – both physical and spiritual. These are people for whom Lord Jesus died and rose from the dead; these are the poor and needy sinners that our Lord loved to associate with during His stay on this earth(Matthew 9:11-13). Once again we experienced the grace and love of God at work right here in run down Detroit. Praise the Lord.

Please continue to pray for salvation, provision and deliverance of these men and women from the clutches of sin. Also pray for the Lord to uphold the faith of the brothers and sisters among the homeless especially as they go through intense times of difficulty.

OUTREACH REPORT II

Matthew 28:18-20

"Go Therefore and Make Disciples"
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, 'All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.' And He said to them, 'Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to all creation. ...and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you: He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but He who has disbelieved shall be condemned. Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem".

This commission is given in light of the authority of Jesus. This indicates that this is an authoritative command, not a suggestion. Because Jesus has this authority, we are therefore commanded to go. It is His authority that sends us, His authority that guides us, and His authority that empowers us.

"Evangelize" Acts 5: 42
"And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."
Evangelism involves more than convincing people to utter the sinner's prayer. Evangelism is sharing the good news of Christ—which includes helping the poor.

"Preach" 2 Timothy 4:2

"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. "

The Word must be preached because Christ Jesus is coming to judge everyone and to establish His kingdom. This means that you need to take life seriously. One day you will stand before the living God to give an account of your life. The Word of God tells us how to live so that we will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master." Preaching is important because of the seriousness of this fact.

As Christians, we ought to be different from the unsaved world, exemplifying the Lord in our daily lives. The Bible teaches us in Philippians 2:4-5 . . . "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Jesus was always thinking about helping OTHERS, which is what Philippians 2:4-5 says we are to do also. We ought to constantly look for opportunities to do things to help those in need.

OUTREACH REPORT III

Prov 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. Prov 21:13 Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.

This month's outreach was a great success and as I look back on the day the following things touched and impressed me Unity of all the brothers:- We were only three when we started but as we reached Detroit, other brothers from Canada also joined us and helped us and everyone just worked in unity and harmony. Each and everyone knew their roles and responsibilities and carried it out faithfully. I was really touched by the commitment of many of our brothers present there.

Building relationships;- I felt happy that we have begun building relationships and friendships with many of the homeless people of Detroit. Many of the people were opening their hearts in fellowship and confidence.

Increasing needs: The crowds seem to increase with every outreach and we have had more demand for hygienic kits and also for prayer as more and more people are hungry for change. So we are in need of more supplies and resources. So we give praise and glory for helping us to be kind to the poor and remember them in their lowly state.

OUTREACH REPORT I

Praise the Lord for another opportunity to reach out to those who who are at present in need of very basic things of life. From the time we all got out of our cars, we were busy distributing sandwiches, coffee, donuts, bananas and the apples. Socks, hand warmers and other hygiene items distributed later also went fast.

The Lord moved in the hearts of the people to open up to us. They freely shared about their struggles and requested us to pray for them. What got me the most was the fact that a couple of brothers asked that we only pray for one thing: that their faith be may strong – nothing else! Despite their present situation being very hard, their main focus was to remain faithful to the Lord. Wow! Praise the Lord!

Please uphold these dear people before the throne of our God. I also pray that we would always remember to pray like those 2 brothers who prayed for their faith to endure. Indeed, the spiritual needs should far outweigh the physical needs! Reminded me of Matthew 6:33 where the Lord himself told us what we should seek as the main priority of our lives, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

OUTREACH REPORT II

Prayer: James 5:16 says "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

Most of the people I came in contact during this outreach exemplified this approach as stated in the Bible and they willingly sought for prayer realizing that only God can help them to overcome the problems in their lives. All those who asked for prayer did not only seek for material needs but also for health and family safety, family members health and cancer, good health.

I was particularly touched by one Jeremy who is suffering from cancer but did not feel the pain that day and He wanted to thank God for that.

Another lady I prayed for had diabetes,heart problems and neck issues and seemed to be happy despite all the problems. May God bless them and keep them.

It was really a great outreach where all of us united to minister to the needs of the hungry,hurting and needy people on the streets of Detroit.

OUTREACH REPORT III

Jesus: One of the homeless?

Jesus did not start life at home or in a hospital. He was born in a stable and his crib was an eating trough for animals. That’s how his life began, as a homeless baby, born to parents who were sleeping rough. He had hardly come into the world when Mary and Joseph took him across the border to escape the murderous intentions of King Herod the Great. Jesus became a baby on the run, a homeless asylum-seeker in Egypt.

During the years when he was growing up in Nazareth, Jesus did enjoy a home to live in. But, once he was baptized by John and began his public ministry, he became again a homeless person. Speaking about himself as ‘the Son of Man’, he said: ‘Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head’ (Matt 8:20; Luke 9:58). Foxes can be safe because they live in warm burrows down in the earth; birds can be safe and sound in their nests, high up in trees: but Jesus did not have that kind of safety and security. He had no home he could call his own, no fixed dwelling where he could lay his head on a pillow and go to sleep at night. He lived his life out in the open, sometimes alone and sometimes sleeping rough at night.

At the end, Jesus did not die at home or in a hospital, being supported by the kind of care that dying people can expect. He died by slow torture as a kind of barbarous entertainment for curious spectators. Who is more homeless than a person nailed up on a cross? Jesus had been stripped of his clothes to die in agony, with no home, no possessions, no bank account and hardly a friend within sight.

In his own particular way, Jesus was born, lived and died as a homeless person, the brother and friend of all homeless people and of all refugees and asylum seekers.

Deuteronomy 15:7 "When you happen on someone who's in trouble or needs help among your people with whom you live in this land that God, your God, is giving you, don't look the other way pretending you don't see him. Don't keep a tight grip on your purse.

Labourers in Christ spends time with the poor and needy in the city of Detroit. Learning to do this is the essences of the Christian journey we call sanctification; to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Jesus. This is how we become conformed to Jesus, the poor man, the man who poured himself out completely in ministry and on the cross.

Each of us has something to give. Some have wealth, some have talents, some have time. Whatever gifts we have been given -- large or small -- we should share generously. When we do, we make the world better for someone else and find true meaning and satisfaction in our own lives.

OUTREACH REPORT I

It was a cold winter morning. Snow and ice made walking difficult, although sidewalk in front of the outreach spot was clean. There were less people outside (about 100 or so) than normal. I believe it was due to the cold weather. There was only one other church distributing help where would be multiple groups before.

As soon as all the brothers arrived, we got busy. People were lined up quickly. The coffee, sandwiches, donuts, and bananas went fast. There was a great demand for the hygiene items including winter items such as gloves, etc. People were patient, thankful and in good spirit despite their circumstances.

Few of them picked up some Christian literature and the CDs we had made available for them. We had the privilege of praying with some of them and listen to their concerns. Edin is the main I stayed to talk for a while. He realizes that the Lord is the only one who can help him out of his present condition (too complicated to explain). Please pray for his spiritual needs as well as physical needs (especially in this cold weather).

OUTREACH II

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.

It gives us great joy in the Lord to share the wonderful ministerial blessings He continues to give us. We are so humbled to be a witness for Christ, for the Glory of God and the extension of His Kingdom. Our mission outreach which is been done in our city especially with the less fortunate amongst us been tremendous .We have been ministering in the downtown and its vicinity for quite sometime. We share the Gospel through evangelism and also distributing food, some sanitary essentials like tooth paste, brushes, etc. We were amazed by the way our Lord has been speaking to the people there . The ministry is not just a one way process but a communion with people by listening to them and also have emphatic conversations. We prayed for a young man who was in the homeless shelter for months and he was asking for prayer request to get a job. He was overjoyed when we prayed for him. We engaged with many people in prayer and assured them of Gods grace as seen in the scripture.

God by His Grace has been reaching to these people and we are very thankful to for all of you who are praying for this outreach ministry .

OUTREACH REPORT III

Few things about this month's outreach that impressed me the most.

1) Discipleship& Commitment -The Lord Jesus speaks of denying ourselves to be a good disciple. The outreach was the perfect opportunity to do so, by denying our body the warmth and cozy confines of our home. So I walked out of our comfort zones to help the poor, destitute and the wanderer.

2) Service to the Poor and needy - It was so cold that if you take the gloves off your fingers, the fingers become numb very fast. People were out in this cold weather to get some provisions like food, hygienic supplies, gloves to meet the basic necessities of life. People are living in lack and poverty.They do not have the means to live a comfortable life. I am grateful to God for providing my needs and blessed me to help them in whatever way I can. It can be in the form of service, time, and prayer.

3) Winter needs - Crowds slowly started trickling in, and at the end we ran short of coffee, hygienic supplies. People needed toe and hand warmers to fight the bitter cold weather. We were able to provide them with toe warmers thanks to the generosity of our Canadian brother.

4) Prayer support - Some people willingly came forward and asked for prayer help and support. They realized that God alone could help them and trusted him for help and comfort. I happened to pray with some people for their needs and also for their health and strength. I happened to meet one young man who was well qualified and looking for a job. He said he was managing to stay there till he finds a good job. My prayer is that God would grant him a job.I also prayed for a lady who was pregnant and asked for God's help to be healthy. I prayed that God would provide all her needs. May God bless them abundantly.

A simple testimony: We have been sending request to give " Winter Accessories" if you can for few weeks now. Three weeks ago a 95 year old person, who was not part of our mailing list gave us two bags of new winter accessories. Glory to God for hearing our prayer requests.

This time we met one person who was literally weeping about his hopeless situation and few people approached us to help them to find jobs and many of them were heart broken due to their family situation.

OUTREACH REPORT I

What a blessing again. It seemed like hearts were open to prayers and talking about the Lord's work this morning. Many reaches out unprompted for prayers and/or just to chat.

Please help these dear ones and pray for Rahshawn and his financial issues, Edin and Julio for jobs and to be re-united with their families, for Steve and his back and knee pain and for Ahmed and his daughter who's turning 15 tomorrow but has had much trouble in her life. Give thanks for Darnell who is always ready to help us. Please always pray that the Lord keeps all of them focused on Him and His Word first but also provides everything they need in this world.

Every opportunity we get to spend with them, I am reminded of the power of sin in our wretched lives and the amazing Grace God has bestowed upon me. I am humbled by His love and care for all of us. I worship and thank Him for all He provides.

OUTREACH II

It was a real winter morning in Detroit, -7 Celsius on the day of the outreach. Some snow on the ground and some light wind, not too bad if you are out for an hour or so as long as you are dressed warmly. And coming from a warm home after a good night of sleep, one should be able to handle it. However, that is not the case with the people we went to minister. I realized as I was driving that there are hundreds of people out there, cold and hungry, hopeless without any means. Worst of it all, many were without God! And that is the greatest of all tragedies―to live without God!

I thought to myself, "Who am I to blessed with so much? Why me, Lord? I know I am not any better than any of them out there? How can I identify with these people? How can I pour out my heart to them? I have nothing much to give." In desperation, I cried out to the Lord to use me and others who would come to minister, not just in terms of meeting the physical needs of these people, but more specifically that the Lord would use us to reveal himself to them. "May these people see Jesus and embrace him in their hearts" was my prayer as I kept driving. Felt a desperate need for the Lord to intervene, for without Jesus we can do nothing [John 15:5].

I wanted to share these thoughts with the readers of this report because in a nutshell this was the core of the matter for me during this outreach.

Upon reaching there along with other fellow-believers, we set up coffee, doughnut, sandwiches and bananas. They went fast. Next the hygiene items were set up and these went fast as well. We had the privilege to pray with a few folks and minister to a couple of men as they shared their struggles with us. They were very open to hear the gospel as the solution to their problems.

On the drive back, hearts were filled with gratitude, along with a sense of blessing and humility. We leave the results of our labors in the hand of the Almighty God. Please continue to keep these dear people in your prayers.

OUTREACH REPORT II

"Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." Matthew 8:20 Jesus had no home of His own. God comes into our lives, into our hearts and transforms us for service. To be healed by God is the most powerful thing. To be forgiven and set free is the greatest miracle of all. And it causes a great change in us. We begin to look for ways to serve Christ the One Who loves us and saves us and in looking, we find that it is in serving other human beings that we serve Christ. Isn’t it awesome how God is so in love with us, that God is served when we are served. We are not alone, God is much closer to each of us than we could ever imagine!!!.

So, how should that play out in the way we see and treat others? God doesn't play favorites. In our Gospel Jesus tells us, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Laborers in Christ works with "stinky people. "People who literally "stink." we are asking God to work in their life. How can we overcome our prejudice, how can we learn to see Jesus in everyone we meet?. We can’t do it alone, can we? We must be aware of where we fall short, and thus ask God to convert the corners of our lives which remain unconverted! We must ask God to help us to love those whom we have a hard time loving.

OUTREACH REPORT IV

I was glad to have participated in this month's outreach to the Homeless and needy on the streets of Detroit. The weather was very bad the previous week and I was not well having cough and wheezing and so was not sure whether I would make it to this month's outreach. However since the weather turned better. I happened to pray for some people who believed that only God could help them and so wanted to depend on him for their needs. The needs that I was asked to pray for are Health, Home,Needs and for protection from cold and other symptoms. I agreed with them and prayed that God would supply all their needs and bless them.

This means of serving the poor and needy really is like serving the Lord Jesus as He says in Matthew 25:40 that Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine. you did for me.

We are prayerfully requesting that of you to all, if the Holy Spirit is speaking to your heart to do something in the place that the Lord had placed you, please obey His gentle voice, if you are living in the Metro Detroit/Windsor,Ontario Canada area, please join us based on our experience we can tell you that our combined small effort will make difference in reaching poor and lost,as evidenced by these three reports.

Outreach Report I I am really thankful to God to be associated with the hungry and homeless outreach of Laborers in Christ team.

I was able to pray with four homeless people and was touched by their needs. The requests were very selfless and for others.

1) A lady wanted me to pray for her son who is in prison.

2) Another person asked for prayer for his family that they have a good Christmas this year.

These people despite having physical needs were not focused on themselves but their families. I have been able to be of some help as they shared the burden in their heart about their families and I believe God heard the prayers.

Also the outreach ended sooner which was really helpful as we could not stand in the cold weather and my hands and feet were starting to get numb by then.

OUTREACH REPORT II

It was a crisp but not too cold morning. As we arrived from Windsor, brothers from Michigan had already started distributing food, coffee, donuts along with gospel tracts and bibles. Many people had patiently lined up to receive the items and out of them there were several children as well.

As we joined in, people were open for prayer and after sometime we prayerfully initiated conversations with 2-3 people groups consisting of 3-4 in a group as some were sitting on bench on the side walk and few standing,we gave them a flash light with a bible verse attached to the flash light from the Psalm 145:18-19 which talks about the promise of God's presence and of His salvation to all that call upon Him and fear Him.

Hygiene items along with the Christmas packages were also given out. We concluded with the prayer giving thanks to the Lord for the privilege that He gives us to serve this people and asking for His intervention in the lives of these people- first and foremost in the salvation of their souls.

May the Lord help us all to remember the needy and outcast in this season as we celebrate coming of the Saviour. Whenever we go out shopping for gifts or gather around tables that are full of food in our comfortable homes, may the Lord help us to remember the poor and needy. May such remembrance cause us to physically reach out to them in practical ways. Merry Christmas to all.

OUTREACH REPORT III

This weekend was again a great blessing for me. I woke up early in the morning to pray and the Spirit put on my heart to write a letter to these dear ones and include it in each of the Christmas packages. It became evident that the package's content were heavily focused on meeting their physical needs, but what about the greatest need of all, Jesus-Christ.

"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD." - Deut 8:3

This is my prayer this Christmas for all of the ones we met this weekend, especially Darnell and Derrick that God touch their hearts and make it the most glorious of Christmas'.

"Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever." The Westminster Shorter Catechism

Let Christmas make true this glorious truth in all hearts that are His.

Outreach Report I

I was looking forward to this month’s outreach and had been praying for the Lord’s blessing on the event. I gathered the supply that the Lord had provided for me to deliver to the homeless people. The particular passage that was on my heart to share with the people was from Psalm 145:18-19, "18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.was on my heart to share with people."

On the day of the outreach as I opened the door of my house all I could see was a layer of ice covering the road, cars and just about everything else. This was due to the freezing rain we were experiencing. It was very dangerous even to step out, let alone drive to Detroit from Windsor, Canada. I was hesitant and discouraged for a moment and prayed,"Lord what is your will here?" The Lord filled my heart with peace and strength as I started thinking about the poor people standing outside on this rain getting wet and cold looking for someone to help. I eventually got in the car, kept praying and left it all in Gods hand.

While I was not fully sure about the people turnout due to the weather, as I drew near the place, I saw nearly 200 or so of them on the streets. This did not include people from different churches who had brought warm food, coffee and clothing. Many were also passing Christian literature. Praise the Lord! How faithful is the Lord in caring for his people!

Shortly after that other friends from Metro Detroit area arrived with other food and bible supplies. Within 45 minutes all of it was gone! We even had the privilege to pray and share from God’s Word with multiple individuals despite the cold weather! It is always humbling for me to see God’s goodness and His love in action toward his creation.

Before we left we prayed asking God to bless this work and redeem people from their sins and suffering. Please keep this work in your prayers as well and join us if you can . As I was leaving back to Windsor, my heart was overflowing with the gratitude to the Lord for the privilege of working in His field with other brothers and sisters. 2 Corinthians 2:14, "But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere."

OUTREACH REPORT II

I decided to go for this month's outreach event regardless of the cold conditions prevailing on that day. We slowly made it to the venue and then observed there were already three church groups distributing stuff and I wondered if we could get enough people to come to our stall.

It was so difficult to do anything in the cold weather and I barely managed to hand over some coffee, doughnut, etc. Though I did not pray for anyone this time, I was content to serve the people in whatever way I could.

The people's need is so great that they came in large numbers and got the hygienic kits and winter wears that we distributed and also the food that we served. I saw one young man's hand shivering terribly because of the cold weather and felt the man's need of good winter clothes.It is really difficult to survive this cold weather without adequate comfortable winter wear.

"I was happy to have been part of the outreach group and able to reach out to poor and homeless people."

OUTREACH REPORT I

This past Saturday I had a very good experience at the out reach. I have prayed for few people, some said they do not need prayer, some accepted my request so I prayed for them, one guy I asked him if he needs a prayer, he said "NO". so I had a conversation with him asking if he was happy in his life. He said " Not really". Then I said when we are out of Gods plan in our life's we are not happy. And I quoted a scripture "First Seek the Kingdom of God and All things will follow you.(Matthew 6:33).

Then I said God when you accept God in your life, God will give you happiness, family and God plans will be done in his life. And I asked him again if I can pray for him. he accepted so I have prayed for his happiness and all good things in his life to happen.
Praise Jesus.

OUTREACH REPORT II

As always, it was a blessing to minister to the poor, lost and hungry this morning. I am amazed every time at the love of all our brothers and sisters that come and minister with an open heart. We can truly see the reflection of Jesus' love through it all. For without having Him love us first, none of us would be there. So it reminds me that this is ultimately for God's glory only.

This morning we were blessed again with Darnell, Vivian and Richard coming to help us. Through it all, they make sure that things are done in order and properly. I met a man named Steve this morning. He had recently just got out of prison. He shared his life story with me, recognizing how deprived his life was. When I asked him what he believed in, he said God - but he often wondered why God would allow him to suffer so much. We talked about Jesus and what it meant to follow Him, and what the prize ends up being at the end. I asked him if he had a bible and he said he did but couldn't read it since he had no glasses. Unfortunately I could not help him with that. We did pray and he had tears in his eyes as I reminded him (and myself, we often need that reminder, don't we?) of how crucial and important it was for Jesus to come and die on the cross. How all the glory of our God is displayed through this very act, and how all our hope resides in this.

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." So we died to this dark world, to glorify and boast only in the cross. May our days always be filled with this reminder. Thank you Lord for this opportunity to serve.

OUTREACH REPORT III

The day was very cold and windy out on the street of Detroit and the only thing that was warm was the love of God flowing out from all of us. I liked the fact that we were able to provide physical as well as the spiritual needs of people. Our outreach provided the poor and homeless with food,personal hygiene kits and winter clothes and hot coffee to help manage the cold weather for those who stay on the roads.

I have been able to pray for some people and they all had needs for provision of home and car. Also I prayed for healing for some of them and it made me happy to make a small difference by having compassion on the less fortunate ones and those who have been caught in the circumstances of life. The need is so great and people are suffering and there was a woman lying on the floor without any bed sheet and one man was asking for a bed sheet to give to her. I was touched by that man's care for the some one else even in his need. God's word says in Proverbs that if we do not look at the poor and help them ,then God will pay a deaf ear to our prayers. This was a perfect chance to fulfill that word by helping the poor and needy on the Detroit streets.

I was blessed for the opportunity to do some outreach and help the poor and have a compassionate and serving heart.

"ABIDE IN ME"
Jesus said, "I am the Vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5)

God had to deal with the nation Israel and chasten it. But even that did not produce lasting results. When God's own Son came to the vineyard, they cast Him out and killed Him (Matthew 21:33-46). Jesus says, "Abide in Me". Remaining in Christ demands worship, meditation on God's Word, prayer, sacrifice and service. But all these experiences start only at Calvary through Salvation in His matchless name. Isaiah 58:10: "… if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." This verse about the laborers for Christ spends time with the poor and needy. Learning to do this is the essences of the Christian journey we call sanctification; to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Jesus. This is how we become conformed to Jesus, the poor man, the man who poured himself out completely in ministry and on the cross.

This is also how we become conformed to the heavenly Father, who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all.

Many of you know that,we have been trying to reach the poor and hungry for several years, to our surprise we are noticing more and more homeless new people and all of them have needs to survive on the street. This time in-spite of nine of us, we had a very difficult time to reach them in the sense to find time to speak to them about the good news and pray for them and comfort them there were too many of them (Homeless people), after last Saturdays outreach we have realized the need pray even more to the Lord to send workers into his field.

It is our plea to all of you that if the Holy Spirit is tugging your heart to do something in the place that the Lord had placed you, do not procrastinate obey His gentle voice, if you are living in the Metro Detroit area please join us based on our experience we can tell you that your small effort will make difference in reaching poor and lost.

"AWARENESS OF BEING CALLED"

Psalm 103:5
Who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. I will enrich your life and renew your youth like the eagle's. Eagles go through a molting process where they shed their old feathers and grow new ones. This process is necessary in the rejuvenation of the eagle so it can continue to remain strong. In Psalm 103:5, King David tells us that the Lord will satisfy us with good things and will renew our youth in the same way that the eagle renews its feathers. No matter how old we get, our God and Father promises to continue to renew our inner being so that we will have a spring in our step, a sparkle in our eye, and a sense of awe and wonder about life. May each one of us hold fast to this promise and not dread our future, but look forward to the renewing process where our youth will be renewed just like the eagle's!

Scripture which says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." (Luke 10:2)

It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; his call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38) Prayer moves the heart of God. It is the powerful key to resolving the vocations question. Within the People of God, there is a specific mission awaiting each one. Because the needs of the "harvest" are so great, all the members of God's People must grow in the awareness of "being called".

1. A lady on the street, said that she is tired of living on the street.
2. Another person was confused in whom he believed as personal savior we told him the truth about Jesus Christ.
3. Many people were willing to be prayed for.
4. Many young people are homeless.
5. Like this several individual real-life stories, "please continue to pray for them."

Homelessness is no respecter of persons. The traditional idea of homelessness is that of the alcoholic or derelict, and those live abandoned buildings, people carrying signs saying "will Work for food," and those sleeping on sidewalk on city streets. Many live in shelters. Some live in shacks so run down they cannot be considered fit for human occupation while these certainly are true depictions of Homelessness, they are far from the Complete picture. Why are these people homeless? Sometimes it is due to bad choices, but it is also due to misfortune, illness, and inequities in our Society. About one-fourth of all homeless people suffer some form of severe and persistent mental illness. Others are physically ill or disabled. It is important to understand the causes and needs of the homeless. The laborers for Christ understand that there are physical, social, and spiritual dimensions to their needs. The Lord Jesus Christ initiates the Laborers for Christ outreach ministries to process by assuring people of the reality of His love so people can feel and experience for themselves, answering their doubts so people can know and believe and awakening their faith so people hear and respond as "faith comes by hearing" and authenticating His message of reconciliation so people see and become accountable. Praise the Lord

OUTREACH REPORT II

We are happy and glad that we could pray for people who were homeless because the Bible tells to take care of the poor and homeless. In Isaiah 58 a the passage speaks about merciful and compassionate acts to get prayers answered. The passage speaks of not condemning people but having compassion on them.

We prayed for some 5-7 people that day and most of them asked me to pray for common needs like Food,Clothing and Shelter. These are things we assume them for granted. Also there was one brother who lost his brother and was sad. He asked us to pray for God's comfort and strength.

we believe God heard that prayer and took care of the person and helped fill that void in his life. Another person asked for God's protection to live on the streets of Detroit.

We felt fulfilled that day for having done something for the poor and needy. we feel this is a very good opportunity to do good deeds by participating in this outreach.

EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH REPORT:
BREAKFAST "HUNGRY AND HOMELESS"
- July 19, 2014 -

Praise the Lord. The outreach went well even though numbers of people were significantly lower than usual. This was due to the presence of a large inner city outreach group. This group loaded people onto their vehicles and took them to breakfast at a nearby place. For a moment it looked like nobody was left. However, people started coming as usual coffee, donuts, sandwiches and other hygiene items distributed with Christian literature. All the brothers and sisters were busy serving in some way. Talking to and praying with those that came one on one is where most of time was spent, Getting to know the people and listening their concerns was great blessing . Brother David with a worship team (children-Abhishek,Aaron,Jonathan & Abigail) and myself ministered through Christian songs and the word of God. Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation―whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life―of whom shall I be afraid ?" was the verse I had used to share the good news. The point was to direct attention to Lord Jesus as the only Savior whom we all desperately need for forgiveness of our sin. We left them with a verse attached to the small flash light to remind them of the conversation we had and with prayer that Lord might show them the way and make this true personal to them. We left with joy and thankful hearts - humbled and encouraged. We give thanks to our Lord for the opportunity to to sow the seed of the gospel and share His love with our neighbors. Please join us in praying for this ministry that Lord might be glorified through it. Pray also for salvation of people who heard the gospel.

Homelessness is not always a choice but often times a way of life because of financial problems, medical issues, addiction, mental stresses, or spiritual oppression. Many of them carry the memories and pain that entraps their lives. The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the Poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to Proclaim freedom for the captives and release from Darkness for the prisoners,Isaiah 61:1

Jesus fulfilled this very Scripture in Isaiah as He Proclaimed openly in temple that He had fulfilled this Scripture. God sent His Son to this earth to proclaim His will and show Mercy upon all that we may know and demonstrate His will upon this earth.
4. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the Lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Matthew 11 It is not a burden but a privilege for Laborers for Christ minister to the Homeless. Knowing that it thrills the heart of Christ then we believe it is a commission. Let’s prepare our hearts and our lives to seek out opportunities to minister To the poor. As we open all of our heart to God you will see others as he sees them. Let us take time to notice those in need of food, shelter. Unless you minister to others He cannot extend a hand as he seeks to extend his heart. And as the Scriptures in Matthew 25: it would indicate that if we ignore those in need that we ignore The Son of God.

We thank the Lord for the another great opportunity to reach out with the love of Jesus to the needy in Detroit. It was a nice sunny morning and many of us were out with bible literature along with subs and coffee. All of these were distributed quickly. Everyone from the team was busy serving in some way. Brothers and sisters were interacting constantly with the people. Some were praying for the needs of those that asked for prayer. Brother David had great helpers (his children) in playing the songs of faith while a few other believers were simply offering a listening ear to those that needed to share the burdens of their hearts. After the people scattered around brother David with his worship team and myself went around from group to group warming the hearts of the people with "Amazing grace." After the singing, I had the privilege to share the gospel with many. Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation , whom shall I fear ? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid" was the verse the Lord put in my heart as a pointer to Lord Jesus as the only true Light that lights the way for every man. I explained that Jesus alone is the light who reveals the true need of our lives, i.e. the need for forgiveness for our sins and to disperse the darkness that surrounds us. Praise the Lord for once again I was very humbled by the receptiveness of the message and the attentiveness of the people. We left them with the prayer. In excitement I forgot to pray for one group and that bothers me now, but dear brother David reminded me to pray for the last group (that is why we have brothers and sisters, thank you Lord). We also left with them a small flash light with the bible verse [Psalm 27:1] attached to it to remind them of Lord Jesus the only True Light. In the meantime we must continue praying for these dear people and the ministry that Lord gave us that He might be glorified and that people get saved. -Mirko Canji

It is exceedingly important for every one of us "Selfish ambition or conceit" just has no good place in our attitude. And I think we all realize, where there is selfish ambition and conceit, people don't get along and the Lord's work is not done. Isn't that right? Selfish ambition kills churches, dishonors the cause, makes people sick, and offends God. So let's make up our mind, we will have no part in it! I need to make a specific choice. You need to make a specific choice that you will not have a parade in your own honor and that you will not exalt yourself and look down on others. You will not praise yourself, boast, or act in any conceited way. We need to learn what good attitudes are in keeping with the gospel of Christ, then evaluate ourselves, review that teaching, and determine personally: we will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.
If your attitude is not right, I don't think you can fix anything else! Everything else in your life, depends upon attitude: Your participation in worship; Your responsibility to your spouse and children; Dealing with people; Handling temptation; Enduring suffering; Being properly related to other Christians. If your attitude is not right, you cannot effectively handle, or deal with or fix anything else.
Proverbs 4:23... "Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life."
We laborers for Christ we prayed for all the homeless people, for all broken families, for all women and children who are alone without any help, for all the sick people who are suffering, for all the old people in the city of Detroit. Thank you to all those who came to encourage and to reach out. This time the outreach was different since we have been going there for several years in a way we have developed some rapport with the people on the street as result of that, we have boldly started preaching the good news of salvation and repentance of sins and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior to all those who were willing to hear. We went in groups of two-three and four persons when we went to speak to the people.
Sincere thanks you to all our prayer partners. Please continue to pray, so that many may be reached with the Good news of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

"Who do you say I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.""
It was a beautiful morning that the Lord gave us. As we arrived from Windsor Canada, the brothers and sisters from Michigan had already started to set up the tables. As usual, coffee, sandwiches, hygiene items along with biblical materials were set up and the people quickly lined up.
Interaction with the people was immediate by serving, praying for those who requested prayer, and sharing the gospel with those who would listen. We approached many through singing gospel songs, tract distribution and gospel preaching. People were very friendly and receptive. Thank God. We prayed with each group asking the Lord to grant them repentance and faith so that they might be saved. It was a great privilege to serve these people along with other brothers and sisters in Christ. I was reminded that God has not forgotten the homeless and that Christ died to purchase their pardon as well. Please continue to keep this ministry in prayer.

John 3:16 : For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes, In Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

He gave his only begotten son. He gave his son to die on a cross a horrible death for us. He knew that we could not overcome sin on our own. He knew that we could not uphold the laws he had given. No one can on their own, so don’t be deceived that you can, or feel as if you are doomed. Because that is not what He is wanting for you.People will ask what kind of God gives his own son to die in a strangers’ place? Well, first of all, we are not strangers to God — we are His creation. Second, Jesus died willingly on the cross because of his love for us and his love for the Father to do his will. Jesus is God himself who became man so that he could pay the price for all of us for all sin once and for all. Depends on your decision as to whether or not you accept his love that he so loved you with or not.

Now let’s look at sins. He died once and for all. This means that when you believe in him, when you accept him as your Savior, then your sins is forgiven, past, present and future, once and for all. To say you are not and that you have to confess your sins each time you mess up is to say that you have to work for your salvation. His grace, his salvation for you, his forgiveness of your sins was paid in his blood at the cross over 2000 years ago. Paid in full. Hebrews 7:26-27

26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

Jesus paid for our sins once and for all. To keep asking forgiveness for something he already paid for is to make his death of no account. When we believe in him and accept his death on the cross as payment for our sins, then we will live righteously. Because once we accept him as our Savior then we become the righteousness of Christ Jesus. We lose the desire to sin. Yes, we will make mistakes but we are in Him, and He is in us so when we make mistakes we are quick to recognize and stop our wrong thinking or doing. You see, when the Word tells us that we become new creations in Christ Jesus, our way of living changes, because we have a new mindset. We have the mind of Christ Jesus. How? Because we renew our minds with his word. Luke 19:10 : For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost

Matthew 11:27 All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

God initiates the outreach process by assuring people of the reality of his love so people can feel and experience for themselves and answering their doubts so people can know and believe. Awakening their faith so people hear and respond as faith comes by hearing and authenticating His message of reconciliation so people see and become accountable.

Praise god last week outreach ministry was fruitful experience most of the people on the street don't have anyone. They end up with no one when they come out here and they think that no one cares no one worries about them and no one willing to listen to what goes in their life and what problems they have.

But we Labourers in Christ team our goal and mission is listen to these people and respond to all of their queries and pray for them with earnest. We met a person who was willing to share his testimony Glory to Jehovah Rapha-God our Healer.

A small article on Grace, difference between Grace and Law.

Under law, a person lives from his own power and resources Under grace, a person lives by Christ’s life and power imparted by the Holy Spirit.

Under law, a person works in order to earn the acceptance of God. Under grace, a person trusts in Jesus Christ as her acceptance and works out of love and gratitude.

How we can define Grace ? :

Grace is a perfection of the Divine character which is exercised only toward the elect. Neither in the Old Testament nor in the New is the grace of God ever mentioned in connection with mankind generally, still less with the lower orders of His creatures. In this it is distinguished from mercy, for the mercy of God is "over all His works" (Ps. 145-9). Grace is the alone source from which flows the goodwill, love, and salvation of God unto His chosen people. This attribute of the Divine character . "It is the eternal and absolute free favour of God, manifested in the vouch safement of spiritual and eternal blessings to the guilty and the unworthy

Main Characters of Grace :

There are three principal characteristics of Divine grace.
First, it is eternal. Grace was planned before it was exercised, purposed before it was imparted: "Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began" (2 Tim. 1:9). Second, it is free, for none did ever purchase it: "Being justified freely by His grace" (Rom. 3:24). Third, it is sovereign, because God exercises it toward and bestows it upon whom He pleases: "Even so might grace reign" (Rom. 5:21). If grace "reigns" then is it on the throne, and the occupant of the throne is sovereign. Hence "the throne of grace" (Heb. 4:16).

I was reminded this week through Pastor Ram's preaching of one of my favorite chapters in all of the Bible - John 4. John 4 is a wonderful story of Jesus giving himself and making himself known to the least of all people, a less than reputable Samaritan woman. But the love, mercy and patience Jesus shows through this entire story is a stunning reminder of what our work can be. We must always remember that whatever we do - whether we sow or we reap - we always rejoice, for it is His work we are doing. How very blessed we are.
And as the Samaritan woman at the well went and told others and they came to see the truth, our prayer is that many through this small work will be touched - perhaps in ways we will not fully comprehend this side of heaven. Please pray for Darnell who still has not found steady work, Vito for a job also. Please have a special prayer for a man that I meant for the first time. He had spent many years in jail and had suffered a stroke. He was in a wheelchair and yelled at people as they went by. He claim to know Christ in his heart, and had significant knowledge of scriptures - but there seemed to be a definite lack of repentant attitude and fruits of the Spirit in this man. Please pray for him, and for his heart condition - his name is Dennis.

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Psalms 82:3 - Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

It gives us great joy in the Lord to share the wonderful ministerial blessings He continues to give us. We are so humbled to be a witness for Christ, for the Glory of God and the extension of His Kingdom. Our mission outreach which is been done in our city especially with the less fortunate amongst us been tremendous .We have been ministering in the downtown and its vicinity for quite sometime. We share the Gospel through evangelism and also distributing food, some sanitary essentials like tooth paste, brushes, etc.We were amazed by the way our Lord has been speaking to the people there . The ministry is not just a one way process but a communion with people by listening to them and also have emphatic conversations .We prayed for a young man who was in the homeless shelter for months and got a new job he had a prayer request for good health. We engaged with him in prayer and assured him of Gods grace as seen in the scripture.He doesn't want to go back to his past life and requested us to pray for him.

God by His Grace has been reaching to these people and we are very thankful to for all of you who are praying for this outreach ministry . We would like to request you to take part in this greatest harvest. We are looking forward to building up a long lasting relationship with these homeless people in the city of Detroit they don't have any places to sleep ,don't have food to eat. Please pray for this Godly vision and join hands with us to see this non-believers being transformed by Prince of Peace, Jesus.

When we think of God’s Grace. We can define it as a "Gods unmerited favor. Or Gods Goodness. Grace is illustrated by the example of Noah in Genesis 6:8 who "found grace in the eyes of the Lord". Jehovah proffered the grace to Noah, by faith Noah obeyed the Lord, and so was blessed.

While God extends grace, human beings must be willing to "receive" the favor. (2 Corinthians 6:1):"As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain."

Grace Is Not Earned:

Grace excludes merit. We must constantly remind ourselves that humanity is not deserving of salvation.
No one can "earn" pardon by works of human merit. If such were the case, we could boast regarding our redemption; however, That is impossible (Ephesians 2:8-9).
How to access Grace: Grace is accessed initially at the point of gospel obedience. People are unaware of the fact that "grace" and "obedience" are not enemies. Paul affirmed that grace is accessed by faith (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9). It is not, however, a faith void of loving response to God; it is a faith that acts (James 2:21-26).

Continuing in Grace
The state of grace must be embraced continuously; otherwise one will fall from divine favor, and his initial reception of Heaven’s grace will have been "in vain"
(2 Corinthians 6:1; cf. 1 Corinthians 15:10).

OUTREACH NEWS BY PIERRE GIRARD

I was very blessed by the outreach yesterday. It seems the Lord is encouraging me more and more every time I go... Thanks for this wonderful opportunity to reach the poor. Now for my report... I cannot thank the Lord enough for the wonderful opportunity to witness and speak of His grace to many in downtown Detroit. My heart is so grateful to Him for Vivian, who accepted the Lord a few months back and He completely changed her life. After struggling with drugs and alcohol, He gave her the strength to fight off these addictions. She now has an apartment, she is off the streets and her daughter and son have come back in her life. She helped us handing out material this week because her heart was overwhelmed with thanks. I cannot thank the Lord enough for what He has done in her life. Pray for her, for strength to continue to grow in His word and His wisdom.
Continue praying for Darnell to whom many horrible things have happened in the last two months. Satan is throwing many hindrances at him and pray for the Lord to strengthen him. Please Lord, help this hard-working young man find a steady job.
Also keep Edward, Vito and Rich in prayers. I do not know exactly where they stand with you Lord, but break their heart for Your kingdom, that they may live as reflectors of your lives in a very dark world.
Lord for all these, and the others we have met this weekend, I come to your Throne of Grace and plead with you for their needs. Cover them in blessings, and offer them what they really need - for you know it better than I.

Thank you Lord Jesus, for workers you have sent, and Lord we ask you for more - for the needs are many but few are the workers. (Matthew 9:38)

OUTREACH REPORT BY JOHN THALLURI

Dear friends in Christ last outreach was an amazing experience for us in our journey. When we look at the below verse we can see how God uses people for His glories kingdom. A woman who was homeless for many years in suburbs of Detroit offered her help to us to distribute food and clothing to all the homeless and she did this with joy in her heart and she told that because of mercies of the almighty she was able to get an accommodation nearby and she had the opportunity to get her daughter back and both are staying together.2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort Matthew 20:16. So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

The parable of the laborers in the vineyard is about coveting, about our frustration with the grace of God as it applies not to us, but to others. Second, the parable of the laborers in the vineyard is about the first and the last. The parable itself displays a reversal of expectations -- "the last will be first and the first will be last"; this is not only the summary of the parable (20:16), but a critical aspect of New Testament theology.

Notice the flow of the narrative as the workers are compensated for their labors:

When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, "Call the laborers and give them their pay, beginning with the last and then going to the first. When those hired about five o'clock came, each of them received the usual daily wage. When the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received the usual daily wage. And when they received it, they grumbled against the landowner, saying, 'These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.'"

The last are literally first in that they are paid first. And the first, who have labored longest, must also wait the longest to get theirs. But notice as well that the first who are now last do not receive nothing or less, they receive the same, as the laborers themselves say, "you have made them equal to us...." So perhaps it should be said that the last shall be first, and the first shall be the same.

This element of the parable is taken up in the other Gospels and in Revelation; this scandalous reversal of expectation, of our sense of justice, and even of our hopes, is a central piece of the New Testament. Whoever wants to be first must be last, and servant of all (Mark 9:35); so much for human ideas of greatness. Who is worthy to climb the holy hill, and enter the gate of God's kingdom? Some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last (Luke 13:30). And it is Jesus, who is first and last (Revelation 1:17), who tells us that we need not fear; for in the one who is both first and last, the first and the last are brought together when we are called to lay down the burdens of our days and find our home with God.

The scandal of this parable is that we are all equal recipients of God's gifts. The scandal of our faith is that we are often covetous and jealous when God's gifts of forgiveness and life are given to other in equal measure. And the scandal of our preaching, if based on this parable, ought to encompass both.

Scripture which says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." (Luke 10:2)

It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; his call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38)

It is really God himself, the "Lord of the harvest", who chooses his laborers; His call is always undeserved and unexpected. And yet, in the mystery of God's covenant with us, we are called to cooperate with his providence, and to use the powerful tool which he has placed in our hands: prayer! This is what Jesus himself asked us to do: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest!" (Mt 9: 38). Prayer moves the heart of God. It is the powerful key to resolving the vocations question. Within the People of God, there is a specific mission awaiting each one. Because the needs of the "harvest" are so great, all the members of God's People must grow in the awareness of "being called".

We are very grateful and sincerely appreciate and thank all who came for recent Hungry & Homeless Outreach on 02/15/2014 at Detroit.This time there were at least four people in wheel chairs (Amputees/Paralyzed) who needed assistance to move around in the bitter cold weather and many more with different health problems, one lady was pregnant and one person was sitting alone in the snow and cold weather, it was very heart breaking to see this,which reminded us of the good Samaritan story in the book of Luke chapter 11. We were able to talk to them share the good news of hope and salvation in Jesus Christ. We were trying our level best to comfort them. They all were very appreciative of the elements given to them.

Thank you for praying many are being reached with the Love of God.

PRACTICAL TIPS ON BIBLICAL EVANGELISM BY PASTOR RAM KRISHNAMURTHY

In this section, we desire to encourage you toward greater faithfulness in telling others about Christ. This, we hope to accomplish by: (a)Listing common barriers to evangelism [each report will list a common barrier] (b)Solution to overcoming these barriers and ending the section by (c)Using an illustration to motivate you toward faithful evangelism.

A Common Barrier to Evangelism: "WHENEVER I PRESENT THE GOSPEL, I LIKE TO KEEP THE CONVERSATION SHORT AND SWEET."

Solution: Often, evangelism is viewed as an "I’ve got-to" rather than a "I get-to"approach. While there is realization that as a Christian, evangelism is a command, yet because this is uncomfortable, the process is done quickly¾so as to soothe the conscience.

The tendency is to quickly present the gospel and stop at the first sign of resentment or resistance from the unbeliever. The thought is "Whew. I’m glad that was over. I did do my job!"

While we cannot and must not keep harassing the unbeliever, we should also refrain from a "Drive-Thru" approach to evangelism. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in the unbeliever’s heart. A few minutes of silence during the gospel presentation process may be awkward¾but can be very effective! Evangelism is not to be treated as a "job." It should be a delight for the Christian to talk about His Christ!

Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: When one reads the methods of Jesus in the Gospels or the apostles as given in the Book of Acts, it is easy to find that they spent time with the unbelievers in explaining the gospel truths clearly. Yes, we must not force our views on others, but let us not rush through in presenting the gospel either!

Today, I met a man named Torreonno who was in a wheel chair. He quoted me Psalm 119:9 - "How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word."

Wonderful, wonderful Word of God! And this morning, I want to give honor to our Father for giving us His Word. How blessed we are to have His complete revelation, His God-breathed bible. As we meet more and more people through this ministry, it seems an abnormal amount profess faith in Jesus. I for one am very surprised by their knowledge of scriptures. A lot of them are saved, I am sure of it. But a lot of them, even knowing scriptures, decided to head the wrong path. Decided to follow sin. And with tragic consequences to their own health, spiritual life, family and much more.

I am convicted this morning by the fact that professing faith in Jesus, resting in His complete work on the cross for our salvation, does not give us a license to sin. Paul tells us in Romans 6 to put away our sins, and crucify the old self. Lord I ask you to please make me hate my sin - give me a heart like yours.

Please pray for Vito who continues to struggle. Keep Frank in prayer for work and Torreonno and Edward so that they be a reflection of Our Lord Jesus' light all around them.

Matthew 25:35-40

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ "

As we look around the world today, we may ask ourselves if there has ever been a greater need for God's mercy. Wars, violence, lies, manipulation, and out of control selfishness seem to dominate the world. But, as always, God has a plan. He is drenching the world in His mercy, if only we will turn to him. At Laborers in Christ Ministries, our mission is to bring the mercy of God to a hurting world and we invite you to be part of the ministry.
Matthew 10:7-14

"And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. Acquire no gold nor silver nor copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, nor two tunics nor sandals nor a staff, for the laborer deserves his food. And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. "

The vision is to give every person on earth multiple opportunities to accept Jesus Christ – see hundreds of millions receive Him – build them in the faith and connect them to Christian communities. Here we share the hope of Jesus Christ to those struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, people with mental disabilities, prostitutes, and folks who have been homeless for years.

We need your prayers. Pray for workers to come along side who have a passion for spreading the gospel and are willing to share whatever skills God has given them in and around Detroit communities. Pray for protection over those that are working now. Pray for God’s provision for moving his work forward. Pray for God’s wisdom for all of us.

Solution: God not only ordains the end, but also the means to the end. While God has chosen people for salvation, the chosen need to be saved. And their salvation occurs upon their hearing and accepting the gospel.
To put it in simple terms, evangelism is the means of bringing the elect home.
Acts 13:48 "When the Gentiles heard this [the gospel], they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed."
Acts 16:14 "A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul."
2 Timothy 2:10 "For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory."
Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: When C.H. Spurgeon preached on "election" somebody said to him, "Why don’t you just preach to the called, to the elect?" He replied, "Well, if you’ll run around and pull up everybody’s shirttails so I can see if they have an ‘E’ stamped on their back, I will." Only God knows who is elect and who is not.
Instead of worrying about issues totally beyond our finite understanding, God’s people should simply focus on obeying his clear command to witness and pray for the lost. God will use our efforts as he sees fit to bring his chosen ones home.
God is just in all he does. Remember, none who enters heaven can say, "I put myself here." Likewise, none who enters hell can say, "God put me here."

OUTREACH NEWS BY PIERRE GIRARD

The Lord always teaches his children. He provides for us opportunities to see with our eyes and hear with our ears. Too often, it seems life is separated. It seems I am in work mode when at work, family mode at home and ministry mode during ministry opportunities. But the Lord wants us to be in ministry at all times, generously giving ourselves away to others for His Kingdom.
On that particular Saturday, I was making the trip across the border by myself. I actually got there early and no one was there. I decided to go fill up with gas and use this time to pray about the opportunities the Lord may lay ahead.
As I was going to pay for gas in the station, a young fellow yelled at me for change. I quickly dismissed him, after all, I had places to be. While I was in the station, my heart became filled with love, and I went back to see him. We started talking about Christ, what He had done in my life. He said he knew who Jesus was but had a hard time with fighting sin. We continued talking about the Word of God, Christ's ultimate sacrifice and His Light in our lives. He did not have a bible, so I ran to the truck to grab one of the ones I usually keep in there. He seemed so encouraged after just to know the Lord's sovereign hand put us there at that gas station at that time together. This reminded me of His fantastic undescribable love for us.

Please pray for Eric, he is struggling with a separation, difficult kids and getting a job. He needs the Lord to touch him deeply.

The Motivation for Outreach by John Thalluri

First of all, what is our motivation for outreach? Why do we tell people about Christ? Why do we proclaim His name in a lost and dying world? Paul writes to the church at Corinth in 2 Cor 5:11-12:
2 Corinthians 5:11-16 11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are "out of our mind," as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. The love of Christ controls us and love of Christ is like the fire in your engine, making you go. It is the controlling factor behind everything you do and it is not our love for Christ that compels us; it is Christ’s love for us that controls us.

1. Motivated by Fear of the Lord First of all, we know "the fear of the Lord" (v. 11). In this case, our fear of the Lord is not based on terror, as though we are frightened and trembling before him. Sometimes Scripture does refer to that type of fear of the Lord. In 2 Cor 5:11, Paul is probably saying that because we know our God is awesome, we want to persuade people into a relationship with that God.

2. Motivated by the Love of Christ The second motivation Paul gives us is "the love of Christ" (v. 14). Christ’s love for us compels us to persuade people of the truth of the gospel. We know that one died for all and all died. "He died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died" and rose again on their behalf (v. 15). The whole package (Christ’s love for me and what he did for me) compels me. It motivates me to persuade and convince other people of the truth of the gospel.

3. Motivated by Divine Perspective The third motivation to persuade people of the truth of the gospel is found in verse 16. There are unsaved people out there, and we no longer see people according to a "human point of view." In our new view of others, we no longer merely see a shell of a human being that is going to die one day. Perhaps today a person may be in my way. That person may seem to be no more than an inconvenience to me -- just a human being. However, we no longer see people from a human point of view. Now we have God’s perspective. As his chosen people who "no longer live for themselves but for him.

We sincerely appreciate and thank everyone who came for recent Hungry & Homeless Outreach on 12/21/2013 at Detroit. It was heart breaking to see people of all ages from 3-4 years old to senior citizens standing in line to receive little that we had to offer in spite of cold and icy rain weather.

We had many opportunities to pray for them.

We thank all our prayer partners for praying throughout this season for all our outreaches.

PRACTICAL TIPS ON BIBLICAL EVANGELISM BY PASTOR RAM KRISHNAMURTHY

A Common Barrier to Evangelism: "THEY WILL THINK I AM CRAZY AND A RELIGIOUS FANATIC."
Solution: The Christian is not of this world, but is one who belongs to another world. So, it is natural for the people of this world to think of Christians as "different."
Remember, it is very likely that in your pre-Christian life, you thought Christians were crazy too!
Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: The Bible clearly teaches that the message of the cross is foolish to those who are not believers yet.
1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
However, genuine believers ought to know that God uses the means of his people who share the gospel to bring lost people to himself. So, even if we are perceived negatively, we ought not to be discouraged. Rather, we say along with Paul, "We are fools for Christ's sake" [1 Corinthians 4:10] and keep on sharing the gospel.

OUTREACH NEWS BY PIERRE GIRARD

The Lord is loving and full of grace. This particular month was very difficult. Thankfully my wife and I had somehow prepared stockings early in the week. After a long week with very little sleep, woke up late because of a faulty alarm and made it on time! My mind and heart were far from being into the occasion. But I took some moments aside when we first got there to pray and ask for His strength and love.
And what I found, as always, was that great opportunities to witness and great encouragement was to be found. Darnell was there again, with his enthusiasm. Please pray that this young fellow finds a job. He is so dedicated to helping us and is such a blessing. Met Carlita who had run into tough times and a very smart man named Martin. Please pray for them. Martin seemed to have some very hard things happened to him and was not readily opening up. We started talking about life and the gospel. I gave him a bible and told him to read. He said he would. Please pray that the Lord opens his heart.
I thank all of you who have supported this wonderful ministry this year. All of you are such a blessing to us and to those little ones that the Lord so loves. I pray that the Lord blesses this ministry even further and draws many needy souls to Him. Remember that we are all called to minister, and the Christmas season brings all kinds of opportunities. Keep your hearts open and remember the Christmas story...

REACHING GRACE by JOEL GEORGE

Christmas time is a time of fascination for the nonbeliever, the lost and the suffering children of God, as here and around them they see happiness and joy and they wonder why, and they even wonder how a homeless man could smile, and how could one that seemingly lacks, share what he has? For it is a smile of expectation, a hope that a need is surely going to be met, that the love abounding around will surely touch him too. And this is the Spirit of Christmas, the favor of our God on all men, His provision to give us life in all abundance.

The needy and those seeking prayer were much more last week in icy rain as were those distributing them and those praying, and it is in this season of joy and hope and love that we need to soak in and pray the peace (Shalom) of God upon all, and it will rest on those that receive it. Let the laborers of the harvest not be distracted by who planted and who watered, for it is our Lord who provides the increase, and let us not be distracted by who prayed or how many prayed, for it is our Lord who hears and decides to answer prayer. Let our love in this Christmas season abound, crushing discord, as we work united and diligently, for yes…our Rewarder waits at the door. And then the outreach this season provided the many unreached visitors a glimpse into the second part of the Christmas story when the ‘Book of Revelation’ was presented during the ‘Christmas celebration’ at Novi. For we had heard that ‘Once upon a time….long long ago, in Bethlehem, a Child was born……and now we heard about the ending…..His return as King, and his Kingdom established for ever’ and so this Christmas season, we reiterate Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

PRACTICAL TIPS ON BIBLICAL EVANGELISM BY PASTOR RAM KRISHNAMURTHY

In this section, we desire to encourage you toward greater faithfulness in telling others A Common Barrier to Evangelism: "THEY MIGHT TELL ME TO MIND MY OWN BUSINESS."

Solution: It is the Christian's business to be concerned about the spiritual condition of others. Think where you would be if someone thought that your spiritual condition was not his or her business!

2 Corinthians 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: Please notice in the above verse who we are. We are ambassadors for Christ. An ambassador represents his country without fear and shame. If we are believers, we ought to represent Christ―not just by our life but also by our lips.

We ought to show our genuine love for people by pleading with them to get right with God. Yes, we should not force our views on them. Neither should we constantly pester them. But, should we not at least once present the gospel clearly to those the Lord brings in our lives?

Let us pause and consider this question: How many non-Christian people [friends, family, neighbors, co-workers] do we know for years that we meet often and discuss a lot of worldly things for hours together and yet have failed to expose them to the gospel truths? If you are like me, the list is pretty convicting, is it not?

Now, let us do something about it. First, let us repent of this great sin by confessing this before the Lord as sin without giving any excuses. Second, let us ask the Lord to help us to share the truth in love with those who need the gospel. Third, by relying in the power of the Holy Spirit, let us in faith start talking to these people about Jesus. This cycle of ongoing silence and guilt [which is really another way to describe our continual disobedience] needs to be broken―not some day in the future, but here and now! Are we really willing to do so? Are we really desiring to obey the Lord Jesus' commands? If we sincerely desire to do so, the Lord will help us.

Let us have the attitude of D.L. Moody who once, when walking down a certain street in Chicago, stepped up to a man, a perfect stranger to him, and said, "Sir, are you a Christian?" "You mind your own business," was the reply. Moody promptly replied, "This is my business." May we realize the minute we got saved, we have been made ambassadors―not of an earthly king, the the King of the universe! What a privilege and joy to serve the Lord of this universe!

OUTREACH REPORT BY PIERRE GIRARD

I've been catching myself this week, thanking the Lord for things I take for granted in my everyday life; solid relationships, strong role models, spirit-filled leadership, and a true love for God's Word. I fully realize that all these things are given to me, not because I deserve it, The Lord knows that. He is gracious with us, and His loving kindness shows up all throughout our lives.

"Give thanks to The Lord, for He is good, for His Loving kindness is everlasting" - Psalm 136 :1

Again we were reminded of that this past Saturday during our outreach. We are also constantly reminded of the destructive power of sin, and its effects on this generation and many generations to come. Some of the people we meet, tell us their story and just want us to pray with them. One very sweet lady asked us to pray for her friend. She was about to walk a good 15-20 city blocks with about 50 pounds of groceries and asked for a ride. We talked about her life and Jesus and her friend during the ride to her. She needed the encouragement from Christian brothers and sisters. And we were encouraged by her faith.

On the clean-up work effort, some of our participants are really getting into it, and are showing they are willing and able to join the job market. I pray The Lord for Darnell, Derrick and Jake, that He would encourage them and help them find a meaningful job. I also pray that their heart be touched by the gospel as they read their bibles.

Finally, let's never forget to pray The Lord to send more laborers to His harvest field. And please protect us and allow us to become faithful servants.

Thank you Lord for all your blessings.

WALKING IN GRACE BY JOEL GEORGE

Now let us as workers of the outreach who have been given a precious gift of Grace remember not to ‘sit in Grace’ but rather ‘to walk in it’. As in Galatians 5:25 (If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit). We repented of our old ways and accepted Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him), so now let us remember to walk worthy of the calling (Ephesians 4:1) and be imitators of God, as dear children (Ephesians 5:1).
This surely means walking in love, without envy or strive or hate or lust as we become obedient to the Holy Spirit speaking to our hearts as in Isaiah 30:21 (Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it", whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left"). When we obey God, we walk with Him (Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?), and when we walk with Him, the Light shines out to the unreached, the Spirit of Grace moves in their hearts, in their lives, and the shouts of Grace brings forth miracles and healing and we thus become worthy vessels serving God’s kingdom fruitfully.
If we don’t walk our daily lives with Him, our outreach remains futile. So let us re-examine our walk, cleansing ourselves by His Word, and now ‘walking in Grace,

Jesus had a special sense of mission to poor and oppressed people. At the outset of his ministry, sometimes referred to as Jesus' mission statement, Jesus stood up in the synagogue at Nazareth and read from the prophet Isaiah:
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19)

We are so humbled to be a witness for Christ, for the Glory of God and the extension of His Kingdom. Our mission outreach which is been done in our city especially with the less fortunate among us been tremendous .We have been ministering in the downtown for quite some time. We share the Gospel through evangelism and also distributing food, some sanitary essentials like tooth paste, brushes, etc. We were amazed by the way our Lord has been speaking to the people there and we had emphatic conversations. We engaged with so many people with prayer and assured them of God's grace.

"He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Luke 10:2)
The need is huge, please prayer that we need more workers to accomplish his ministry, God by His Grace has been reaching to these people and we are very thankful to for all of you who are praying for this outreach ministry.

We greatly appreciate and thank everyone who came for recent Hungry & Homeless outreach on 10/19/2013 at Detroit.
Prayer Partners thank you for praying we are witnessing favor of God and people are seeking God at these outreaches.
This time the weather was cloudy, cold, damp and was raining there were many people without warm clothes on the street we had several opportunists to speak with them and pray for them.

1. One person started crying as she began to share about her family and said that recently she lost two of her children.
2. Another person said now she is temporarily living with her brother and she almost lost her mind living in the Homeless shelter, she said that she has applied for housing and she is 43rd on the list to get a place to stay.
3. A elderly man said please pray that I will be able to get out of this homeless situation.
We are thankful and appreciate for whoever has cut the grass at the outreach place as you all recall we were trying to cut it and keep it clean.now that it is cut it looks nice and well kept by the people on the street.
Many of them were very grateful for the simple gesture of being there and meeting a part of their daily need.

A Common Barrier to Evangelism:"HE OR SHE SEEMS SO STUBBORN. I DON’T THINK THEY WILL ACCEPT THE MESSAGE." Solution: The Lord is in the business of breaking hard hearts. Notice his words as penned by the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah 23:29 ""Is not My word like fire?" declares the LORD, "and like a hammer which shatters a rock?"
Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: Take the apostle Paul as an example. Not only did he resist the gospel, but also he actively put many Christians to death for their faith. Yet, God changed him [1 Tim 1:12-16; Acts 26:9-18]! Our part is to simply present the truth; the results are to be left in God’s hands. Maybe the true story given below will be of help in not giving up in trying to reach hard hearts. Hudson Taylor lived in the 1800s, and was one of the first missionaries to inland China. Before he left for China, he worked as a medical assistant. One of his first assignments was a man with severe gangrene in his foot. This man was an atheist with a violent temper. When someone offered to read Scripture to him, this man loudly ordered him to leave. And when a pastor had visited, this man spit in his face. Hudson’s job was to change this man’s bandages every day. He also started praying earnestly for his salvation. The first few days he shared nothing of the Gospel, but focused on carefully changing the man’s bandages. This greatly eased his pain, and the man was deeply touched. But Hudson Taylor was concerned for this man’s eternal destiny. So the next day, after carefully changing the bandages, he did something different. Instead of heading out the door, he knelt down by the man’s bed and shared the Gospel. He explained his concern for the man’s soul, told of Jesus’ death on the Cross, and that he could be saved from his sins. The man grew furious, said nothing, and turned his back to Hudson. So — Hudson got up, gathered his medical equipment, and left. This pattern continued for some time. Every day Hudson tenderly changed his bandages, then knelt down by the man’s bed and spoke of Jesus’ love. And every day the man said nothing — and turned his back to Hudson. After a while Hudson Taylor started wondering — was he doing more harm than good? Were his words causing the man to become more hardened? So with great sadness, Hudson Taylor decided to stop speaking of Christ. The next day he again changed the man’s bandages. But then, instead of kneeling by the bed, he headed toward the door to leave. He before he walked out the door, he looked back at the man. He could tell the man was shocked — because this was the first day since Hudson had started sharing the Gospel that he had not knelt down by the bed and spoken about Jesus. And then, while standing at the door, Hudson Taylor’s heart broke. He started weeping. He went back to the bed, and said — "My friend, whether you will hear or not, I must share what’s on my heart" — and he earnestly spoke of Jesus, again begging the man to pray with him. This time the man answered — "if it will be a relief to you, go ahead and pray." So Hudson Taylor got down on his knees and prayed for this man’s salvation. And — God answered. From that point the man was eager to listen to the Gospel, and in a few days he prayed to trust Christ. Hudson Taylor’s take-always (May it be ours as well!) "Often in my early work in China, when circumstances rendered me almost hopeless of success, I have thought of this man’s conversion and have been encouraged to persevere in speaking the Word, whether men would hear or whether they would forbear." "Perhaps if we had more of that intense distress for souls that leads to tears, we should more frequently see the results we desire. Sometimes it may be that while we are complaining of the hardness of the hearts of those we are seeking to benefit, the hardness of our own hearts and our own feeble apprehension of the solemn reality of eternal things may be the true cause of our lack of success." (From Dr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor’s "Hudson Taylor in Early Years: The Growth of a Soul," pp.178ff.) Outreach News by Pierre Girard

It was a cold rainy day on Saturday, and the last thing our human flesh would have wanted was not to have a roof on top of your head. We are indeed blessed to share our own blessings forth to those who were given much less. On a gray Saturday morning in downtown Detroit, I am reminded of the great devastation of the curse, how powerful sin is in this world and how we look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus. But as in any other life in our Christian lives, we are called to be reflectors of our Lord's Glory and Light. And every time we follow His Will, we find encouragement. This time around, after 4 months of hiring temporary help on those Saturday mornings to clean-up the area around the mission, we found this beautiful sign... A small token, perhaps from a ex-helper or a group - never found out... But thank you Lord! Please pray for Joshua who is struggling to find a place to live. He told me he had met the Lord when he was 14 but struggled with obedience and finally ended up in the street. Please pray for the Lord to strengthen his faith and follow in His steps daily. Thank you Lord for this wonderful opportunity to serve you and to remind me of Matthew 6 every month... "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Let us not worry about our own comforts, but work only for your Kingdom. Fill our hearts with Your love, Your Grace and Your Mercy. We await your return. Amen.

REACHING GRACE by JOEL GEORGE Every child of God that has a desire to reach out needs to remember Eph 4:7 (To each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift), that is the free and unmerited favor of Almighty God; and now it is important that we perceive the Grace imparted in each other. As we see in Gal 2:9, the pillars of the early Church (James, Peter & John) perceived the grace in Paul to reach the Gentiles, while theirs was to reach the Jews.
Now each one of us is reminded (in 2 Corinthians 6:1) pleadingly, not to receive the Grace of God in vain. Our Outreach to our brethren thus has the favor of God and we are to labor without offense, with patience, in purity & sincere love and long suffering, for the Grace of God will be sufficient to enable us to overcome our distresses, our needs, tumults & our sleeplessness (2 Cor 6:5, 1 Cor 3:10). Edification of others in our Outreach will impart Grace to the hearers (Eph 4:29), and this Grace having spread through the many will cause thanksgiving to abound and God will be glorified (2 Cor 4:15). Yes! , and bless one another always saying (Revelation 22:11) ‘The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen’

We greatly appreciate and thank everyone who came for recent Hungry & Homeless Outreach on 11/16/2013 at Detroit.
Prayer Partners thank you for praying diligently, we are continuing to witness favor of God, people are more receptive and open for prayer and are seeking God at these outreaches.

This time there were more than usual number of people that we come across,there were many conversations and prayer requests that we were able to pray with them.
We want to share this particular conversation/incident with a person.

As we were reaching out with the elements and praying and talking with them on the street. One particular individual was just approximately fifteen feet away from us and was walking in circles and talking to himself it seemed like, after sometime we approached him and asked him if he wanted some food, water and coffee he was glad to have it and we asked him what was his name and he could not coherently remember, but sounded like Horce was his name and asked if he had any family. He could not properly remember about his family and said that he had two members, we asked him where was he living he said "out here on the street". After that we stepped away from him for few minutes and later returned to him and told him to say the name JESUS thinking that it will help to call upon the name of the Lord as soon as we did that he immediately began to walk far away from us. Please pray for him compassionately for he is also a child of God like us. Many homeless women were asking about some our Sisters who could not come for the outreach conveyed their regards to all.

This, we hope to accomplish by: (a) Listing common barriers to evangelism [each report will list a common barrier] (b) Solution to overcoming these barriers and ending the section by (c) Using an illustration to motivate you toward faithful evangelism. A Common Barrier to Evangelism:"I DO NOT HAVE A GREAT TESTIMONY TO SHARE." A lot of people think since their testimony is not like the "Damascus Road Experience," others may not be impressed. That is wrong thinking. The emphasis is on self and not on Christ! Solution: The message to be conveyed is "I was dead in sin. But now I have experienced forgiveness through Christ." The Holy Spirit works in different ways to save people. We simply need to be faithful in opening our mouth to share the gospel and keep trusting in the Lord to use our words as he sees fit. John 3:8 "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." Motivation for Faithful Evangelism: I read about a successful man who was on a business trip. He normally did not attend church, but he was troubled about some matters and went to church, hoping to find some relief. The music and the sermon were okay, but did not really help. As he was leaving, a young man walked up and quoted John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." The businessman did not see how such a thing could be true and also failed to see the connection between God’s giving his Son and a person having eternal life. The man was educated and he articulately expressed his objections. Each time, the young man,who was retarded and knew only this one verse, responded simply by quoting John 3:16. After this had gone on for several times, the businessman suddenly was struck with the simple truth of that verse. God burned the words into his heart and gave him the faith to believe. He got down on his knees and wept in gratitude. Again this morning, the Lord blessed us with many brothers and sisters coming to help, and so many brothers and sisters to help. I am encourages that people seek out prayer, seek out a relationship with Jesus and seek to find out why we do this. And we tell them that without Jesus, this would be impossible. I am reminded of Romans 7:15 this morning - "For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate." Sometimes, it's hard getting up and getting in the cold of a Saturday morning. But the Lord calls us to help his little ones and we do. And He graces us with the strength and most wonderfully, the joy to do it. I cannot believe the excitement in the eyes of some of them when they have labored to clean our little area. They seek out prayers and just desire to talk about their lives and what they have been through - some of them with the Lord and we hope more to come. Please continue to pray for Vivian, Darnell, Ronda, William and Chris. That they would seek the Lord with all their heart and continue in His Word and Way. Let us now reflect, as children of the Outreach speaking of the ‘Spirit of Grace’ (Heb 10:29) to those we reach out to , while pleading with them as to not receive the precious Grace of God in vain. (2 Cor 6:1) As it is written, we are workers together with HIM, and it was with great Power that the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great Grace came upon all who heard (Acts 4:33).
So the effective working of HIS power (Eph 3:7) is instrumental as we minister in the outreach; be it via any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:5-10). So as we pray for our brethren in love, or speak words of wisdom to them, or cry to the Lord for their healing or for a miracle in their lives, let us ensure that we remain worthy vessels of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 2:21) by preparation (even by prayer and fasting for the casting out) and the covering of the blood (Heb 9:21).
Then as we get ready to reach out in prayer, let us ensure that our prayers are not hindered (1 Peter 3:7) and our grudges against others are forgiven. We can now step forward in faith in the name of the Lord (James 5:15-16) and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (John 20:23). Praise God.

An artist once said that "a beggar has no town's man". I couldn't have agreed more seeing what goes on in our Society today and how we react negatively to anyone who solicits for our help. Some of us always shy away from Beggars who come our way. In short, when approached by a beggar on the street, some of us usually look the opposite direction or roll up our windows to avoid any eye contact or afraid of being asked to give. In as much As we live in a world of inequality, we'll always have the needy and the underprivileged in our midst. It is Imperative that we start to show compassion to those in need and stop pretending it is not our duty or obligation to carter for the poor. Besides, the reason perhaps God gave us so abundantly, is that we may take care of our Brothers and sisters in need. Let's have a change of heart when it comes to helping one another. The laborers for Christ mission is to provide food & water & clothing to the Homeless and dedicated to serving God through the spreading of the Good News of Jesus Christ and helping those who are less fortunate than us. Please pray for the ministry. Pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16) Prayer is a beautiful, as well as essential, way to ask for Our Lord’s help and blessings. Even when God doesn't answer our prayers as we’d like, He gives us the grace to cope with our problems and tragedies better in any case. Don’t think that any request is too small! Our Lord Himself said "ask, and you shall receive" (John 16:24). Your requests become that much more powerful when others are praying for you as well. Also, it is a truly divine form of charity to pray for others, especially for those most in need!

As Pope Gregory the Great once wrote "He causes his prayers to be of more avail to himself who offers them also for others." In other words, as our Lord said in Luke’s Gospel "Give and it shall be given to you" (Luke 6:38). And, as a popular saying goes "God cannot be outdone in generosity!"
